    Job DescriptionSalary: starting at $16/hr (more depending on certification & experience) Medical Assistants provide critical support to the nurse practitioners and physicians in providing quality medical care to patients. Our Medical Assistants are trained to support both our primary care and behavioral health providers. Responsibilities (included, but not limited to): Take patient vital signs, including but not limited to blood pressure, pulse rate, height, and weight Room patients and establish a reason for the visit. Document chief complaint Work collaboratively with the provider for the coordination of quality health care for clinic patients Manage patient flow with the correct balancing of scheduled appointments and walk-ins according to the number and skills of providers present Clean medical equipment as necessary. Routinely check oxygen levels in the oxygen tank Prepare exam rooms and assist the provider with procedures Prepare patients for exams/procedures Pre-Visit Planning includingreaching out to patients due for vaccines that do not have appointment scheduled yet Assist with inventory management Provide back up support to Clinical Coordinator Other Duties as assigned Education and Experience Requirements High school graduate Current Certified Medical Assistant or LPN, preferred 2 or more years of experience in the medical field may be adequate instead of a MA certification BLS/CPR certified Benefits: Health Insurance Fordland Clinic pays 90% of an individual employees monthly premium costs, and a significant portion of alternate plans for employee only, employee + spouse, employee+ child(ren), or family coverage. Work hours:Full-time, hourly position - In order to maintain full-time status, a minimum of 30 hours per week on average are required, though 36 to 40 hours a week will be expected for this position. Hours are subject to change. Clinic hours are 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday, and 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Saturday. This position may be scheduled to work any of the days the clinic is open (Monday through Saturday) and may be scheduled to arrive 15 minutes prior to opening and may be scheduled to leave one hour after closing, depending on patients scheduled. The current need for this role is Monday - Thursday 8am - 6pm
