As a Medical Assistant at PHC you will support the delivery of healthcare by providing clinical care and administrative support as delegated by licensed clinical staff. You will work in accordance with standard and scope established by PHC policies and procedures and will performs work with special consideration for patient safety and infection control policies and procedures. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to welcome patients to a safe and inclusive environment and to engage patients in holistic care.
This position typically works at PHC in Marshalltown 4 days per week and in Ames 1 day per week. This position is scheduled for 40 hours per week, specific schedule is to be determined and may include some evening hours until 8 PM. Weekend hours will not be required. Our Medical Assistants are occasionally needed to cover other shifts or to work at other PHC clinics in Ames, Des Moines, and Marshalltown.
