Job Responsibilities
Provides quality dental care to assigned patients utilizing best practices within the scope and training of the provider, to include:
Examines and evaluates patients providing treatment options that are clearly understood by the patient
Properly assess a patient's periodontium and when required offering suggestions for homecare and/or treatment options or referrals
Prescribe and provide preventative care to help the patient improve their oral health or prevent other oral problems
Restore and/or replace teeth as required
Provide endodontic therapy
Extract/remove teeth.
See patients of all ages
Refer patients appropriately for evaluation and care beyond the scope and experience of the provider.
Job Requirements
Graduated with a D.M.D. or D.D.S. from an accredited university
Licensed in the state of Wisconsin, or eligible to be licensed in the state of Wisconsin

+ Answer patients' routine questions; provide information regarding treatment options, office policies, denture styles, packages, aftercare instructions, and pricing
+ Accurately collect and deposit funds from patients, including processing of credit card payments and handling cash (and checks if applicable)
+ Efficiently use Dentrix software program in daily operations, including scheduling appointments, providing patients with accurate walkout statements, setting up, filing, and updating complete and accurate patient records; also provide patients with information as needed to file with their insurance carrier
+ Prepare documentation as needed for refunds to be processed for patients; contact patients regarding returns for chrome partials and other matters such as outstanding account balances
+ Inventory and order office supplies and forms as instructed
+ Mail accurate and timely reports, invoices and correspondence to the accounting and management service providers
+ Answer incoming telephone calls and provide information to patients in a courteous and professional manner; enter all information on the Patient Inquiry Log and follow up as needed to encourage potential patients to visit the office
+ Consistently provide the Practice Owner/Managing Dentist and the assigned Manager Practice Excellence with a copy of the log weekly
+ Tally time sheets in an accurate and timely manner for the dentist; collect completed timesheets for all staff members for the dentist approval and signature and fax to Affordable Care Payroll Department
+ Maintain a clean and neat reception area and waiting room; ensure patient restrooms are kept clean and stocked; dust the furniture as needed
+ May perform chair-side assisting as needed
+ Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
+ Minimal travel may be required for training and/or continuing education purposes
+ Other duties as assigned
**Educational Requirements:**
+ Must have 2 - 5 years' experience working in a dental office (including patient scheduling)

How You'll Make a Difference
As an Assistant Dental Office Manager, you will report to the Manager and perform daily front office tasks and duties to help create lasting impressions and build trust and loyalty with patients. When you join an Aspen Dental practice, you'll participate in an eight-week training program to succeed in your role.
Provide superior patient service with compassion and care in accordance with patient needs, company policies and procedures, government regulations, and dental board standards
Work collaboratively with other members of the dental team to provide exceptional patient care
Consult with patients on treatment options provided by clinical team, verifying insurance payment and collection ensuring high quality of care
Under the direction of the Manager, supervise and reinforce the daily tasks and priorities of the non-clinical team
Review data day to day to evaluate the impact on the practice
Oversee scheduling and confirming patient appointments
Verify insurance payment, collection, balance nightly deposits and credit card processing
Additional tasks assigned by the Manager
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds
Demonstrate analytical thinking; place a premium on leveraging data
Organized and detail oriented

Job Responsibilities
Providing effective leadership, support and oversight of clinic staff members and clinic operations to ensure a productive work environment that results in the delivery of quality and cost-effective services yielding high patient outcomes.
Provide work direction with clear responsibility for the coordination of resources to efficiently support day-to-day operations and the smooth flow of patients through the clinic
Oversee staff activities to provide a consistent patient experience
Ensure clinic is staffed appropriately for hours of operation to meet the needs of patients and providers
Fill in for Dental Services Representatives or Dental Assistants to account for absenteeism or high-volume periods
Coordinate the needs of doctors and serve as liaison between doctors and support staff to mediate and solve problem as necessary
Resolve patient concerns, complaints and issues to promote patient excellence and staff engagement
In collaboration and with direction from the Practice Manager prepare annual business plans and related strategies; participate in the development of the annual budget
Manage the sterilization area ensuring the testing of the equipment is performed and logged, reporting failed test results to the Practice Manager
Act as a change agent for continuous improvement results, utilizing lean principals and tools
Ensure staff and patient safety is maintained at all times following OSHA, CDC and HIPAA guidelines
Job Requirements
Clinical experience required in dental assisting or dental hygiene; minimum of 5 years of experience as a DA or RDH is strongly preferred
3 or more years of experience in a multi-department supervisory role within healthcare preferred
General knowledge of dental terminology and dental assisting practices
Demonstrated coaching and counseling skills with ability to supervise large number of staff in a fast-paced environment
Ability to successfully collaborate with a variety of internal clients, identify problems and offer solutions
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Ability to learn and practice new concepts quickly along with mentoring others
Demonstrated professional and ethical standards to gain and maintain credibility
