Job Responsibilities
Provides quality dental care to assigned patients utilizing best practices within the scope and training of the provider, to include:
Examines and evaluates patients providing treatment options that are clearly understood by the patient

Prescribe and provide preventative care to help the patient improve their oral health or prevent other oral problems

Verify patient's insurance
Insure all record keeping requirements are fully and accurately completed
Submit claims to insurance companies
Notify Office Manager of equipment trouble or general safety concerns
Attend and participate in morning huddles, chart reviews and regular office meetings..
Follow company policy and procedures
Understand and follow HIPAA regulations, state and Federal OSHA laws and safety standards and maintain confidentiality.

Requirements
Qualifications/ Skill Sets
Excellent customer/patient service and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand information and effectively present information one-on-one with patients.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out details written or verbally instructed.
Basic computer knowledge
Experience with dental management software experience is preferred

Position Details
Department - Prosthodontics
Travel to our Sturtevant clinic on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month is required (9115 Durand Ave, Sturtevant, WI 53177)
Travel to our Franklin Clinic on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the Month is required (6855 S. 27th Street, Franklin, WI 53132)
Schedule
Monday: 7:00am-4:30pm (Kenosha Clinic)
Tuesday: 9:10am-4:30pm (Kenosha Clinic)
Wednesday: 8:40am-4:00pm (1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month at Sturtevant clinic and 2nd and 4th Wednesday at Franklin clinic)
Thursday: 8:30am-5:30pm (Kenosha Clinic)
Friday: Off
1 Saturday every other month: 7:00am-12:00pm (Kenosha Clinic)
Total Weekly Hours: 31.41
Job Responsibilities
Establish rapport with patients by greeting them with a smile and maintaining a professional image in appearance and manner
Complete patient check-in and pre-registration
Introduce patient to clinical staff and escort patient to treatment area
Monitor Doctor and Hygienist timeliness and inform patient of any delays
Resolve patient concerns; answer or seek to find an answer to patient inquiries
Collect treatment fees due from patient and document date-of-service payment
Update patient accounts on an on-going basis
Provide coverage for Dental Assistants to account for absences and assist during high volume periods
Receive, distribute, and stock dental supplies
Sterilization of instruments
Disposal of used supplies, waste, and hazardous materials in the proper containers
Properly disinfecting operatory upon request
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 2 years in the dental or healthcare field preferred
Communicates in a clear and concise manner. Uses appropriate grammar, pronunciation, and tone to enhance understanding
Effective interpersonal skills to maintain rapport with patients, dentists and staff members
Good customer service skills and ability to work as a team in fast-paced environment
Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Provide a positive experience throughout the entire patient interaction; from greeting, to seating and completing their in-clinic visit
Exhibiting excellent customer service to create a positive patient experience, ensuring all treatment is provided with an awareness of individual patient's needs and concerns
Removing calculus deposits, accretions, stains, and cement from supra and sub-gingival surfaces of the teeth
Performing periodontal therapy, including scaling & root planning when prescribed
Completing head, neck and intra/extra-oral exams to detect any abnormal swelling or lesions that could indicated any type of pathology
Examining teeth and assessing periodontal health of each patient to prior to exam by dentist
Charting conditions of decay and disease for treatment as diagnosed by dentist assisting during examination
