Completion of an approved dental hygiene education program.
Valid license to practice as a DentalHygienist in New York State.
Good clinical skills: e.g., providing prophylaxis/cleaning, removing plaque/tartar, polishing, patient education, charting, and x-rays.
Good interpersonal/communication skills: ability to work with patients, educate them, maintain records, schedule, and collaborate with dentist.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with calendar management and office software (e.g., Outlook, Google Suite).
Maximum attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
