Licensed Dental Hygienist Reports to Office Manager Background: Cahaba Medical Care Foundation is a community health center organization providing medical, pharmacy, dental, and behavioral health services to diverse underserved communities in Jefferson, Bibb, Perry, and Chilton counties. We are a Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home and Joint Commission accredited organization, committed to increasing integration and coordination of behavioral health and primary care. This is an exciting, fast paced practice with a strong mission and commitment to providing high quality care. Responsibilities & Duties Uses dental instruments to check and clean gums. Feels lymph nodes to detect swelling or tenderness associated with dental disease. Examines gums for sores or disease using probes and other dental instruments. Applies fluoride and other cavity protectors. Charts and records conditions of disease for diagnosis and treatment. Takes X-rays. Administers local anesthetics, as directed. Provides patient with proper instruction for treatment of disease. Forms and molds cast impressions Qualifications: Active RDH license from Alabama Board of Dental Examiners
