Minimum Qualifications

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Recognize the needs of other people (doctor, staff and patients).
2. Communicates clearly and tactfully with patients and parents of minor children following guidelines for specific circumstances.
3. Prepare tray setups and assist the doctor at chair side with all procedures as needed making the patient's comfort top priority.
4. Disinfect rooms and sterilize instruments between patients as required by OHSA guidelines and universal precautions outlined by The Center for Disease Control. Maintains the clean and uncluttered appearance of the operatory area.
5. Take oral radiographs x-rays, developing, mounting and filing as required for patient visits.
6. Consistently maintains equipment and restock inventory for dental supplies.
7. Attend and participate fully in morning huddles.
8. Perform duties listed on the attached list of delegable functions in North Carolina as assigned by the Dental Director to include Coronal Polishing.
9. Perform other necessary duties required by the Robeson Health Care Corporation to meet the goal of providing primary dental care.
OUALIFICATIONS:

We strive to use technology (digital x-rays, scanning, IO photos and models) whenever we can to help patients understand their oral conditions and how it might affect their systemic health.
Any candidate must have a similar philosophy and attention to detail. We use Open Dental as our patient care software, Schick for IO radiology, iTero for IO scanning and Mouth Watch for intraoral photos. No previous experience with any of this tech is necessary. We don't prophy diagnosed periodontal patients and we do require x-rays at relevant intervals based on each patient's risk profile for decay or periodontal disease.
We see a broad spectrum of patients in all age categories. We strive to implement new technologies as they are available and value continuing education to help inspire our staff to serve their patients better. We employ only mature individuals who want to avoid drama in their place of work.

Participate in continuing education on and off site as appropriate and feasible.
Insert matrix bands and wedges; Place cavity bases and liners;
Place and/or remove rubber dams.
Fabricate and cement temporary restorations using temporary cement.
Apply acid tech materials/rinses; Apply bonding agents.
Remove periodontal dressings, sutures, excess cement.
Place gingival retraction cord;
Flush, dry and temporarily close root canals;
Place and remove temporary restorations;
Insert Interdental spacers; Fit (size) orthodontic bands or brackets.
Apply dentin desensitizing solutions;
Perform extra-oral adjustments which affect function, fit or occlusion of any temporary restoration or appliance.
Polish the clinical crown using only- a hand-held brush and appropriate polishing agents or a combination of a slow speed handpiece (not to exceed 10,000 rpm) with attached rubber cup or bristle brush and appropriate polishing agents
Perform all other duties as assigned.
