Duties * Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth and removing plaque and tartar buildup * Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review * Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays using appropriate aseptic techniques * Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care * Assist with chairside procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques * Maintain accurate documentation of patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations * Review medical records for relevant health information prior to treatment * Support infection control protocols and sterilization procedures to ensure a safe clinical environment * Collaborate with dentists and other team members to provide comprehensive dental care, including pediatric dentistry when applicable * Ensure proper documentation review and medical coding for billing purposes Requirements * Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification * BIlingual English/Spanish Preferred * Proven experience in general dentistry, with specific experience in pediatric dentistry preferred * Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or EMR systems * Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques * Ability to perform patient care duties with compassion and professionalism * Strong understanding of medical imaging techniques and vital signs monitoring * Experience with dental assisting tasks, including chairside assisting and documentation review * Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical coding practices * Excellent communication skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate record keeping and patient education Join our team to deliver high-quality dental care in a supportive environment that values professional growth and exceptional patient service.
