Job Summary: The Podiatrist will provide comprehensive foot and ankle care for patients of all ages in a community health setting. The Podiatrist is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and preventing foot and ankle disorders, with a strong focus on diabetic foot care, wound management, and preventive education. This role is critical in supporting the overall mission of the health center to provide accessible, high-quality care to underserved populations. Duties and Responsibilities: Perform physical exams and diagnostic assessments of foot and ankle conditions Develop treatment plans and manage acute and chronic foot and ankle issues, including diabetic foot complications. Provide wound care management, minor surgical procedures, orthotic fitting, and other podiatric interventions. Collaborate with primary care providers and specialists as part of an integrated care team. Educate patients on foot care, hygiene, prevention of foot diseases, and proper footwear. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) Participate in quality improvement initiatives and comply with HRSA/FQHC regulations and standards. Participate in staff meetings, continuing education, and community outreach events, as needed. Will be traveling to multiple SBNC clinics. Qualifications: Education and Licensure: Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from an accredited college of podiatric medicine.
