Job Description International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. is seeking a licensed Dentist to provide services for DOS, DOD, and contractor personnel stationed in Iraq. The candidate will assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of dental conditions. The licensed Dentist will educate patients about oral hygiene, preventive care, and overall dental health. The Dentist will be responsible for ensuring effective delivery of care, while meeting compliance requirements. β€’ Conduct comprehensive dental examinations and assessments. β€’ Diagnose and treat dental conditions, diseases, and injuries. β€’ Perform dental procedures. β€’ Provide services or temporary treatment for emergency dental care such as recementing crowns, extractions, or root canals. β€’ Develop and discuss treatment plans with patients, considering their individual needs and preferences. β€’ Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive dental care. β€’ Keep accurate and detailed patient records. β€’ Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to ensure quality patient care. β€’ Stay current with new dental techniques and advancements in the field. β€’ Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations within the practice. β€’ Participate in community outreach and promotional activities to foster oral health awareness. β€’ Completes required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies. Qualifications Experience Required: β€’ Applicants must have passed the National Board Dental Examinations (NBDE) developed and administered by the Joint commission on National Dental Examinations (JCNDE) β€’ Possess a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. β€’ 3-5 years of general dentistry experience is required including 6 months within the last year β€’ Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Medical Records (EMR). β€’ Experience on a military site working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred. β€’ Experience working OCONUS preferred β€’ Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Education: β€’ Applicants must have a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from a school approved by the American Dental Association (ADA) or the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. Physical Requirements: β€’ Must meet pre-deployment physical requirements β€’ Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time. β€’ May require bending, stooping and lifting to 25 lbs.
