Travel to other OYA facilities, to provide services, may also be required. You will ensure that an electronic dental record is established on all these youth. As the dentist, you will oversee the priority list of dental treatment needs for the youth provide dental services in a culturally informed manner and using a trauma-informed approach. In addition to providing dental services and procedures at MYCF, Oak Creek and JWTP, you will need to provide dental services for youth from other close-custody facilities. Performs oral examinations, diagnose, and develop a plan of treatment to correct oral health problems for each youth. Maintains a dental record on all youth committed to MYCF, and Oak Creek including the JWTP program and youth from other OYA facilities who go to MacLaren for dental services, or seen on-site at a facility Triage, assess and treat youth with acute dental needs communicated via medi-grams. Assists others in the dental office with various processes and procedures. Provides oversight and clinical supervision of the dental assistant. Coordinates with community dental providers to ensure treatment/operative procedures are completed for youth.
