Job Description Contract Length: 1 year with option to extend Hours: FT - M-F Compensation: $140/hour (1099) Malpractice: Covered Patient Volume: Minimum 8 per day Start Date: As soon as credentialed Requirements: Permanent, current, full and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in a state, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. Graduate of an accredited dental school approved by the commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) of the American Dental Association (ADA) with either a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. Background Check Responsibilities: Perform a full range of professional dental treatments to include treatment of commonly encountered dental diseases or dental health problems requiring standard corrective, restorative or preventative measures such as single and multiple tooth extractions, restoration of various lesions with standard and prescribed material, prosthodontics such as crowns, dentures and bridges. Strictly adhere to patient safety standards. Document patient treatment in the dental treatment record Dentrix to enter patient specific workload, readiness status and patient scheduling. Recommend and refer patients to other providers and Purchase Referred Care vendors within appropriate guidelines. Responsible for actions necessary for The Joint Commission (TJC) standard compliance and administrative policies, as directed. Provide consultation to the Hospital Emergency Department health care providers on an as needed basis. Provide physician service and staff urgent care clinic, as needed. Complete all annual training required by the Clinical Director and company policies. Electronically document services utilizing the appropriate electronic medical record system for patient encounters; complete all required administrative paperwork within 24-hours of patient visit to include electronic consults, co-signatures, completion of chart or Risk Management Reviews, unusual occurrences and peer review, as required.
