Serves as a member of a cross-functional team of Dentists that provides exceptional patient care, and performs four-handed dentistry and oral surgery.
Handles all aspects of general dentistry.
Performs diagnostic and restorative procedures including endodontics and fixed and removable prosthesis for patients of all ages.
Treats oral diseases (hard and soft tissue) and confers with physicians as appropriate to develop treatment plan.
Utilizes clinical examination and diagnostic imaging and instruments to evaluate oral health, diagnose diseases, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
Formulates and carries out dental treatments within scope of training and experience and refers complex dental procedures.
Uses personal protective equipment to protect patients, staff, and self from infectious diseases.
Advises or instructs patients regarding preventive dental care, the causes and treatment of dental problems, or oral health care services.
Participates in after hours on-call with other dentists.
Attends and participates actively in required meetings, trainings and functions.

Refer members for specialized dental care as needed.

Answer members' questions and perform procedures considering members' comfort levels.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Diploma from accredited School of Dentistry and valid license to practice dentistry as a dentist in California.
Valid D.E.A. controlled Substance Registration Certificate.
Have current CPR certification.
Have at least two years of experience in providing dental care. Residency program may be substituted for years of experience.
Have experience and capability in four-handed dentistry.
Be able to work well with minimal supervision.
Have knowledge and some experience in coordinating services with the orthodontist, pediatric dentist, and oral surgeon.
Experience working with an Electronic Dental Record (EDR) system (Dentrix) and working in an EDR environment is preferred.
