Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Complies with federal, state and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions. Aids in monitoring, orienting and assisting dental residents. Develops dental care team staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities. Aids Dental Director in the clinical supervision of staff, contributing information regarding staff's clinical performance and discussing .clinical requirements. Serves on committees aimed at compliance, quality assurance and management, and performs peer reviews as required. Maintains clinic standards of care by adhering to the Arizona State Board of Dentistry and those of other governing agencies. Adheres to expectations of required/mandatory in-services, certifications and licensure. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies. Participates in in-service/education regarding Quality Improvement. Performs other related duties as assigned.
