We are in search of a dynamic dental assistant to join our team. A CDA with a minimum of 2 years of chairside experience and coronal polish certified is preferred. Your role involves all aspects of general dentistry, including same-day CEREC crowns, oral surgery, endodontic procedures, and more.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Provide outstanding customer service with an excellent chairside manner
Assist the dentist in utilizing proper four-handed dentistry techniques, observing universal precautions
Be cognizant of doctor schedules and patient flow
Comply with office policies and procedures
Assume the standards of care related to infection control; following OSHA guidelines and ensuring safety protocols are upheld
Expose and digitally record ordered radiographs
Maintain dental operatories in an organized and clean fashion, assuring appropriate instruments and supplies are available
Maintain patient comfort before, during, and after dental procedures
Clean and prepare instruments for sterilization
Sterilize and/or disinfect instruments, handpieces, and ancillary equipment
Assist office and doctor in maintaining patient records and informed consent documents
Chart existing dentistry and current conditions in a computerized dental chart
Take impressions for various prosthetic procedures and study models
Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age-related criteria pertinent to the patients
Punctual, and demonstrate a sense of urgency in your daily tasks
Get cross-trained to assist the front office when needed
Minimum Qualifications:
Current CPR certification
High School Diploma
2 years of chairside dental assisting experience preferred
CDA Certificate
Coronal Polish Certificate (preferred)

+ Consistently record information on the treatment router and patient history forms as instructed by the treating dentist

+ Upon direction from the treating dentist, demonstrate ability to prepare wax bites
+ Upon direction and supervision of the treating dentist, and within legal guidelines of expanded duties, assist dentist with adjustments on dentures and denture insertions
+ Tally time sheets in an accurate and timely manner and give to FDA for dentist approval and signature
+ Assist treating dentist with surgery
+ Take and develop x-rays as needed (has certification, where certification is required)
+ Consistently sterilize instruments with minimal direction, including impression trays and hand piece burs and wipes down equipment after each patient
+ Escort each patient to the check out area, with appropriate paperwork
+ Maintain clean work area at all times; participate in daily cleaning duties, including vacuuming and emptying of waste receptacles, cleaning operatories and instruments
+ Inventory and re-order supplies as instructed
