The Travel RN will be responsible for caring for patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), managing a wide range of clinical conditions. The nurse will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on stroke patients, cardiac drips, and patients requiring continuous bipap or post-procedure care.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a 25-bed unit with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1, adjustable to 5:1.
Administer medications and manage care plans for cardiology and stroke patients.
Perform tele monitoring and emergent procedures, including thoracentesis.
Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications are required.
Experience in PCU or equivalent is preferred.
Preceptor or charge nurse experience is a plus.
