Our Team:
The Department of Anesthesiology at Denver Health includes 20 attending physicians and 42 CRNAs who deliver high-quality perioperative care across one of the nation's top safety-net systems. Our team supports a wide range of surgical services, including trauma, general surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics, and multiple subspecialties, offering anesthesiologists broad exposure to high-acuity and diverse clinical cases.
Denver Health provides 24/7 in-house anesthesiology coverage through a collaborative anesthesia care team model. This academic role includes a combination of independent clinical practice as well as teaching and supervising anesthesiology residents and medical students. Clinical expectations are 40 hours per week of anesthesiology staffing services.

POSITION SUMMARY

Explains company financial policies and provides information as to available resources, offers and assists patients with applying for Medicaid. 5. Acts as a liaison between the patient, the billing department, vendors, physician offices and the payor to enhance account receivables performance and meet payment collection goals, resolve outstanding issues and/or patient concerns and maximize service excellence.
6. Communicates with physicians, clinical and hospital staff, nursing and Health Information Management Services to resolve outstanding issues and/or patient concerns. Works to meet the patient's needs in financial services.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position develops and implements strategies for the clinical care of a defined group of patient care/clinical area for multiple facilities within Northern Colorado. May also have responsibility for non-clinical functions related to the clinical area(s). Plans and implements vision for patient care to ensure quality outcomes and a high degree of patient, physician and employee satisfaction.

4. Drives change by leading system or facility initiative teams that support strategic plans for growth and development.
5. Assures the development of staff leadership through the design of effective shared leadership models and supporting career advancement opportunities. Functions as a role model and encourages staff to participate in their own development.
6. Leads the provision of care through the design of care delivery models and by establishing standards of care. Assures quality and safety in patient care practices by involving staff in process improvement and reporting to create best practices for patient care. Continually assess patient satisfaction and improvement opportunities as measured by survey tools.
7. Responsible for selection, orientation, on-boarding, and retention. Demonstrates leadership through coaching, performance evaluations, corrective actions, and development opportunities to create a culture of learning.
8. Responsible for the function and strategic development of a clinical department for multiple facilities within the Northern Colorado area. Accountable for clinical outcomes and ensuring clinical excellence. Coordinates services with other leaders and administrators to achieve goals. Internal customers include facility and system management, staff, and physicians. External customers include patients, families and regulatory agencies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a strong knowledge of healthcare as normally obtained through the completion of a master's degree in healthcare administration or related field.
Must possess significant knowledge of healthcare operations and leadership typically achieved with 5 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience. Must have considerable experience with patient population in the area of responsibility. Requires demonstrated experience leading and/or managing strategic clinical operations. Requires strong written and oral communication skills. Must demonstrate strong decision-making and critical thinking skills along with the ability to lead change.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Certification/licensure related to area of patient care preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position coordinates a smooth patient flow process by answering phones, scheduling patient appointments, providing registration of patient and insurance information, obtaining required signatures following established processes, procedures and standards. This position also verifies insurance coverage, validates referrals and authorizations, collects patient liability and provides financial guidance to patients to maximize medical services reimbursement efforts. This also includes accurately posting patients at the point of service and releasing information in accordance with organizational and compliance policies and guidelines.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Performs registration/check-in processes, including but not limited to performing data entry activities, providing patients with appropriate information and intake forms, obtaining necessary signatures and generating population health summary.
2. Verifies insurance eligibility benefits for services rendered with the payors and documents appropriately. Assists in obtaining or validating pre-certification, referrals, and authorizations
3. Calculates and collects patient liability according to verification of insurance benefits and expected reimbursement. Explains and provides financial policies and available resources for alternative payment arrangements to patients and their families.
4. Enters payments/charges for services rendered and performs daily payment/charge reconciliation in a timely and accurate manner. Balances cash drawer at the beginning and end of the day and prepares daily bank deposit with necessary paperwork sent to centralized billing for record purposes.
5. Schedules office visits and procedures within the medical practice(s) and external practices as necessary. Maximizes reimbursement by scheduling patients in accordance with payor plan provisions. Confirms patient appointments for the following day as necessary and ensures patients are properly prepared for visits.

POSITION SUMMARY

3. Provides clerical support with patient/client notifications and documentation to include but not limited to complete medical records including labs, authorizations, X-Rays, hospital records and any previous care pertaining to each patient visit. Provides complete and accurate information necessary for billing related to the patient encounter in a timely fashion.
5. Maintains a clean, functional environment including cleaning and disinfection of equipment, exam rooms and storage areas. Disinfects equipment and instruments using appropriate solutions following sterilization procedures. Follows manufacturer's recommendations and OSHA guidelines in handling of hazardous substances. Performs basic maintenance of equipment and coordinates needed maintenance for prompt repairs.
6. Orders supplies as directed, stocks patient care areas. Medication ordering and tasks related to all medications (e.g. expired medications/equipment and recalls).
7. Develops and maintains effective communication mechanism with all external and internal customers. Exemplifies service orientation and the team concept in all contacts.
8. This position will complete all necessary on-boarding/orientation activities, including simulation training, as needed or directed.
9. This position works under the direct supervision of the providers. This position interacts with all levels of staff in a variety of departments, physicians, patients, families and external contacts, such as employees of other health care institutions, community providers and agencies, concerning the health care of the patient. The role will be responsible for the implementation, design and maintenance support of the RMPDS Telecommunication environment including service offerings that integrate cloud and on-premise voice and video applications while working closely with Project Managers to implement scalable telecommunication solutions and application integration for call center environments including: Cisco Collaboration, Cisco CUCM, CUIC, CVP, Finesse, UCCE call recording (preferred Verint) and working knowledge of Artificial Intelligence in conjunction with Call Studio (strongly preferred). Performs continual monitoring and analysis of the voice network infrastructure ensuring reliability, redundancy, and efficiency in a local environment. Troubleshoots RMPDS Telecommunications software, hardware and vendor managed services with speed, accuracy, and urgency. Develops automation in established processes that streamline tasks, troubleshooting and customer access to data and services. Creates and maintains documentation of the telecommunication software and solutions for project implementation, maintenance, support and change management. Essential Functions:
Network. • Maintains the integrity and reliability of the RMPDS voice network environment through continual analysis using monitoring tools, reports and operational testing. • Performs continuous system checks to ensure maximum system and network availability. • Recommends the input for design, implementation, and documentation of the RMPDS voice network, stations/directory, and cable plant environments. • Assists in the design, planning, implementation, and testing of Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP). Coordination. • Coordinates completion of daily activities and assigned projects of Telecommunications staff. • Assists with the coordination of the end user community and other Network Services branches to produce, develop, and maintain voice operations, with minimal impact on the end user community. • Assists in the coordination of vendors in order to provide maximum system availability. Security Administration. • Assists Telecommunication team in the design and implementation of an overall voice network security strategy. • Adheres to security guidelines and implement security policies as outlined by RMPDS and Denver Health management. • Enforces security and performs periodic audits of the telecommunications systems and network to ensure security. (20%)
Testing, Maintenance, and Installation. • Provides PBX administration and voice cable moves, adds, changes, and installations when needed. Demonstrated by proven track record. Maintain voice-wiring closets and adhere to RMPDS and DH cable standards. • Installs and tests new desktop phone equipment and maintain periodic preventative maintenance as needed. Banner Alzheimer's Institute (BAI) and the All of Us Research Program is proud to offer research studies to patients and people in the community. Everyone should be represented in research, and we are now enrolling pediatric participants.
As a Clinical Research Assistant, you will spend most of the day talking to patients about the research study and enrolling those that are interested into the research study (focused on Pediatric enrollments). Each morning, the **Clinical Research Assistant (CRA)** will review a Cerner list of patients in the hospital to identify those that are appropriate (not too sick) to approach. The CRA will talk to the patient's nurse to confirm that the patient is stable to talk with. The CRA then enters each patient's room to talk to the parents/guardians about All of Us (they give an elevator pitch). If they say yes, then the CRA completes the enrollment process. Enrollment is helping a patient create an account and consent on an iPad, complete physical measurements, draw blood, and process the specimen. Usually, an CRA has to approach about 10 patients to get one person to say yes. Other responsibilities include data quality control, outreach events, and retention of enrolled participants.
**Work will be onsite/in-person.** The main enrollment location is at NCMC plus community outreach at events, libraries, etc. The ability to travel locally is required. Mileage will be reimbursed for travel outside of the "home" location.
**This position is based out of North Colorado Medical Center. Typical schedule is M-F; 8:30am to 4:30pm.** There is some flexibility if needed; an 8-hour shift between 7:30am to 5:30pm can be accommodated; some events may take place in the evening or on weekends. Training will need to occur between 8:30am to 4:30pm.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing primary support to both investigator-initiated and pharmaceutical research studies and projects by assisting with data collection, documentation, intake/registration, maintenance of source documents, participant recruitment and retention, data entry into research systems, data audits, maintain research supply inventory, and performs administrative tasks and clinical assessments as assigned.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Assists in establishing the clinical trial record including creation, preparation, and maintenance of study specific source documents. Performs protocol-required study procedures as delegated and ensures that all data is properly recorded in source using ALCOAC principles. Ensures source data is transcribed into electronic data capture (EDC) systems and that all other data points are transmitted into research data systems per site and protocol guidance.
2. Ensures potential research participant is correctly registered into both clinical and research systems, including adding in demographic and applicable insurance information.
3. Assists in creating and preparing source and shadow charts for each research participant and ensures all participant documents are completed in a timely manner and are filed in each binder such as pertinent medical records, participant source documents, pharmacy orders, infusion orders, and imaging documents.
4. Understands the basic requirements of the informed consent process and required documentation. Knowledgeable on the information contained within the consent document in order to answer participant questions, provide high level overview of study procedures and associated time. Performs consent audit to ensure related documentation is properly completed and uploads final signed version to clinical and research systems.
5. Helps to recruit potential participants by answering recruitment phone line, completing telephone or in-person pre-screening, requesting and reviewing medical records, and maintaining recruitment database. Attends and participates in community outreach events and appreciation events as needed.
6. Collect, process, package, and ship all laboratory specimens, including blood, urine, and CSF samples, in accordance with the study protocol, laboratory manual, and IATA guidelines. Maintains updated laboratory binder and ensures proper completion of laboratory requisition form. Schedules courier pick up of samples for both central and local laboratories and maintains tracking and dry ice log for all samples.
7. Will have frequent interaction with research participants, families, visitors, clinicians, and other related clinical departments across the Banner institute and Banner campus. May also accompany participants across both approved and affiliated Banner Health off site campuses for visits and procedures including, but not limited to, infusions, imaging, registration, ophthalmology, and dermatology.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
Experience typically gained through one to two years clinical research experience. Must have knowledge and understanding of medical terminology in order to read, identify, and extract pertinent data from medical records and information. Must be able to multi-task and re-prioritize duties as needed. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Excellent human relations, organizational and communication skills are required.

Ensures the integrity of records released. • Prepares risk management and ligation releases. • Creates new charts or order charts from other locations as needed. Duties include preparing patient's charts for copying, ensuring charts are scanned in/out to correct location in tracking system following standard procedures. (45%)
Auditing and Document Review • Performs audits, purges shelves when charts exceed capacity. Prior to sending charts to warehouse ensure completeness. • Reviews each document for accuracy. Detects and corrects chart misfiles. • Analysis of health records. Assembled health records are analyzed for deficiencies as defined by state and federal HIM record requirements, and hospital polices. Deficiencies are tagged for completion. • Perform audits of the release of information log and completed ROI's. (25%)
Transferring Records • Ensure proper protocols for patient transfers are followed for continuum of care. Coordinate with Health Services Staff and Denver Sheriff's Department to ensure proper documentation on each transfer. (20%)
Customer Service • Provides customer-friendly assistance to patients, outside health care providers and other customers requesting medical records via various request methods (walk-in/fax/mail/kite.) Place telephone calls from/to other agencies, patients, lawyers, and other correctional care facilities. (10%)
Education:
High School Diploma or GED Required
Work Experience:
1-3 years Two years of clerical experience. A combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum experience requirement. Required

The Phlebotomist, under general supervision, draws blood for tests, transfusions, donations, or research that is utilized in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of physical conditions. May explain the procedure to patients and assist in the recovery of patients with adverse reactions.
Essential Functions:
Collection Draw blood from veins by vacuum tube, syringe, or butterfly venipuncture methods; from capillaries by dermal puncture, such as heel or finger stick methods and from arteries, using arterial collection techniques. (40%)
Laboratory Testing Conduct standards tests, such as blood alcohol, blood culture, oral glucose tolerance, glucose screening, blood smears, or peak and trough drug levels tests. Transport specimens or fluid samples from collection sites to laboratories, documenting the route of specimens from collection to laboratory analysis and diagnosis. Provide sample analysis results to physicians to assist diagnosis. (20%)
Equipment Maintenance Monitors specimen collection devices to ensure proper operation. Organize and/or clean blood-drawing trays, ensuring that all instruments are sterile and all needles, syringes, or related items are of first-time use. Dispose of contaminated sharps, in accordance with applicable laws, standards, and policies. (20%)
Patient Advocacy and Support Prevent unnecessary invasive phlebotomy and report patient concerns to appropriate care provider for immediate follow up. Monitor blood or plasma donors during and after procedures to ensure health, safety, and comfort. (10%)
Training May assist in training and teaching students, new staff or other medical personnel in phlebotomy or laboratory techniques. (10%)
