What You'll Do: Supervises groups of students with behavior problems who have been suspended from the regular classroom. Assists students with assignments, obtains and organizes resource materials for students, and assists with clerical tasks and other interventions that support student learning, attendance and positive behavior. Facilitates Restorative Justice Interventions according to the DPS discipline Matrix and Ladder and Uses best RJ practices in responding to student behavioral concerns. Create reports for Administration, Teachers, and Parents. Locates resources to provide crisis intervention. Conducts home visits, phone calls, and prepares, edits and distributes written materials. Develops and plans recreational activities. Compile culture expectation infraction trackers and support Refocus / College Prep initiatives. Manage all Behavior Referrals and Coordinate SIT Process. Attend Restorative Justice trainings. Provide direct Restorative Justice support to teachers and students. Train employees on Behavior Management Techniques. ICs in the Master of Computer Information Systems Program oversee approximately 20-30 online students. The MTSS Intervention Coordinator typically works from home but must travel occasionally throughout the year to various school functions, for state testing and as may be otherwise required by the school. Provide professional development for intervention implementation and serve as support between Intervention Specialists and the school level leadership team. Provides program evaluation through analysis of school data, monitoring schools' completion of evaluation activities, and reviewing and presenting evaluation results to school level leadership. Articulates the concept and purpose of MTSS services to school level personnel and the families. Assists school level leadership team to identify an appropriate plan to implement the MTSS process effectively for students. Collaborates with administration, teachers, students, and parents/Learning Coaches to discuss student progress and instructional supports through the MTSS process Responds to students, parents, and colleagues in a professional and timely manner Other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities: Under the guidance of the Instructional Support Services Assistant Director and ISS Intervention Supervisor, this position could directly supervise 25-100 Full-time Equivalent (FTE) employees and/or contractors.
