SUMMARY OF JOB: This is a newly formed and exciting position for Catholic Charities. The Development Events and Community Engagement Coordinator will be an integral member of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Patersons Development Team. This position will report to the Development Director and will work collaboratively with the CEO of Catholic Charities and the Executive Directors from Catholic Charities three (3) agencies. The Development Events and Community Engagement Coordinator will coordinate and manage agency fundraising events as part of the Development Team. This individual will also build Catholic Charities community presence by leading the organization and participating in live and virtual networking events, conferences, and will identify other opportunities to help Catholic Charities grow its presence in the community. This position maintains a high degree of contact with agency staff and directors, corporate sponsors, individual donors, volunteer coordinators, volunteers, event participants, and community partners. QUALIFICATIONS: * Preference for Bachelor's degree in a related field. Graduate level degree and/or CFRE a plus. * A minimum of three (3) years' experience in nonprofit development, preferably with a corporate fundraising or events management background. * Demonstrate a commitment to helping the vulnerable and those in need. Relates to the principles of Catholic Social Teaching, namely the care for all of Gods creation. * Possess excellent communication, motivational, and public speaking skills * Demonstrates leadership in developing strategies and implementing initiatives that are conducive to the overall success of Catholic Charities. * Proven record of delivering results and meeting goals. * Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with donors and prospective donors. * Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively in writing to a variety of audiences. Monitor methadone clients and maintain weekly Roster of active methadone clients and discharge dates. Act as a liaison between agency and outside methadone clinic. Attend and help facilitate weekly methadone meeting with outside agency. * Ensure that daily count sheet, monthly roster/matrix/census is communicated to Straight & Narrow staff, DCP&P, DMHAS and Recovery Court as required. * Review all screening packets for appropriateness for admission * Ensure that all necessary pre-admission information is sent to clients prior admission (such as request for identifying documents needed to apply for entitlements, allowed property list) * Ensure that all admissions have been fully screened for physical and mental health problems and obtain documentation as indicated prior to admitting the clients * Ensure that the Admissions counselors complete all the required admissions documentation in compliance with Straight & Narrows admission policies and procedures * Ensure that all admissions are entered accurately in NJSAMS * Review all completed admissions packets for completeness and accuracy and forward to directors for co-sign all assessments, DSM V diagnoses, ASAM PPC-2R and ASAM LOCI * Act as liaison with NJSAMS staff and ensure that all new admitting staff are trained in necessary NJSAMS modules * Supervise initiation of entitlement application process on day of admission including, if necessary, applications for birth certificate, SS card, marriage license (if appropriate) and ROI to obtain Judgment of Conviction, and arrange for PC DSS appointment when all information has been obtained. * Participate in Quality Assurance Program and be part of Committees to ensure program compliance * Ensure that Reception desk/Operator and switchboard are always attended. They may be in their own recovery, been an affected family member, friend or others using their own experiences in combating drug and alcohol problems. Peers are defined as any anyone requesting help for a drug and alcohol problem. The PRS functions as an integral part of the parents/families recovery process while in treatment and post discharge. The PRS is aligned with the 10 Guiding principles of recovery. Position Specific Duties and Responsibilities: * The Peer Recovery Specialist (PRS) PRS works to build a community of both clients and staff that is supportive and conducive to parents growth and recovery. Location: Hope House Dover, NJ Pay: $18.00/Hour General Summary: Provides administrative functions and services related to the ongoing operation of the Food Pantry. Position Specific Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Provide administrative functions necessary for all aspects of the food pantry including scheduling and supervision of volunteers, procurement, inspections and storage. 2. Process documentation necessary for USDA record keeping as well as client intake and data entry forms. 3. Keep well organized and thorough reports of donations, CFBNJ allocations, and all client data. 4. Attend Diocesan food pantry meetings. 5. Attend staff meetings. 6. RN Per Diem- Flexible Schedules Available Regular Salary: $40.00-$50.00/Hr Job Specific Responsibilities and Functions: * Under the supervision and direction of the Medical Director, the Registered Nurse is responsible for providing triage services which consist of an evaluation and assessment of medical and psychiatric status and its relationship for the need of withdrawal management. * The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the delivery of care. * The RN assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delegation of patient care to other members of the health care team. * Utilize the clinical opioid withdrawal scale (COWS) and/or the clinical institute withdrawal assessment (CIWA) for alcohol to assess patient for signs & symptoms of withdrawal. Identifies and documents observations and assessment of the patient's needs for immediate nursing action and medication intervention. * Dispense medication as per physician orders and utilizing the nursing process, and maintain accurate records, including seeking clarification of the physicians orders that are unclear or inappropriate. * Monitor labs and notify provider of abnormal and critical results * Follow the physicians written orders and assist with clients physical examinations, medical care and/or procedures, and client intakes as needed * Prepare and maintain adequate medical and other records * Checks to ensure that emergency equipment is on hand and maintain inventory documentation * Conduct nursing education and wellness groups to clients as needed * Responsible for completing and reviewing Beginning and End of Shift Controlled Substance Count with oncoming and outgoing staff and ensures staff compliance with department policy & procedures * Increase knowledge of treatment and client issues by attending and participating in staff development in-service sessions * Utilize critical thinking skills, prioritize care and apply clinical guidelines and best practices * Maintain nursing license current as well as American Heart CPR/First Aid certification * Document and gives/receives report at the beginning and end of shift when indicated * Participate in quality improvement projects * Communicates relevant patient care information with treatment team in a timely fashion * Initiates appropriate referrals to other departments, services and/or outside agencies for patient care.
