* Participates with the Microbiology Branch Chief and/or Director in formulating and recommending policies and objectives relative to the operation of the Microbiology Branch.
* Plans, directs, and/or performs complex analyses of meat, poultry, pasteurized egg products for the isolation, enumeration, and identification of bacteria.
* Utilizes extensive analytical expertise in performing or directing various serological and biochemical tests, genetic-based tests (such as PCR or LAMP),and other microbiological techniques.
* Provides effective leadership, direction, and coordination of those activities related to the function of the laboratory as well as the entire Microbiology Branch.
* Plans and assigns work to subordinates, organizes work schedules as needed; evaluates performance of subordinates; assures quantity and quality of work is performed timely; corrects deficiencies in employees' performance.
* Approves leave and reviews time and attendance of subordinates.
* Reviews, evaluates, and interprets all analytical reports related to area of specialization for technical accuracy.
* Plans, develops and administers the analyst training and qualification programs for testing meat, poultry, and pasteurized egg products in the Microbiology Branch.
* Advises In-Plant Personnel (IPP) and other FSIS personnel in a consultative capacity when needed for assistance in collection of samples at the processing plant according to FSIS directives and/or notices.
* Maintains a workforce proficient in microbiology methods outlined in the Laboratory Quality System. Oversees microbiologists' analyses of laboratory proficiency test samples.
* Supports all related science and public health programs and initiatives as assigned to accomplish the mission of OPHS.
* Provides counsel and advice on quality systems issues following the ISO/IEC 17025 standard or CLIA requirements.
* Provides leadership to modernize microbiology technologies deployed into FSIS Laboratories.
* Reviews and assists in updating the Microbiology Laboratory Guidebook, the FSIS Laboratory Quality Manual, Standard Operating Procedures, and related documents on laboratory procedures and analytical testing methods.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.
Time in Grade: Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet the time in grade requirement of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled (e.g., one year at the GS-12 grade level for consideration at the GS-13 grade level.)
For the GS-13 level: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-12 level) that demonstrates experience:
* Performing microbiological analyses in a laboratory setting.
* Performing method modification or validation projects on microbiological analyses.
* Providing oral briefings, laboratory updates, or presentations involving microbiology.
* Leading a group of professionals or technical personnel in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory.

* Degree: microbiology; or biology, chemistry, or basic medical science that included at least 20 semester hours in microbiology and other subjects related to the study of microorganisms, and 20 semester hours in the physical and mathematical sciences combining course work in organic chemistry or biochemistry, physics, and college algebra, or their equivalent.

* Combination of education and experience: courses equivalent to a major in microbiology, biology, chemistry, or basic medical science that included courses as shown in 1 above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.

The microbiology series has an education Individual Occupational Requirement (IOR) that must be met to be eligible to work in the 0403 series. *Responsibilities*
Problems are often not well defined and are non-recurring but may bear some resemblance to problems encountered earlier. Precedent, policy, laws and regulations, and court precedent offer some guidance, but latitude and judgment is required in determining the appropriate course of action. Guidance is also available from the Solicitor General when necessary. Creativity and resourcefulness are often required to produce effective solutions.
Information necessary to make decisions may be incomplete or conflicting. In such cases, inferences must be drawn from the information available, and decisions are made based on incomplete, misleading, or conflicting information. Poor decisions may have a long-term effect on Band resources, the Band's ability to govern effectively, and the level of service provided to Band members.
The Managing Attorney will assist the Solicitor General, the Deputies, and the staff on decision making and direction.
*Experience*
* Distinguished graduate of an ABA accredited law school with a LL.B. or J.D. degree.
* Five (5) to Nine (9) years of experience in American Indian law and court systems.
* Member in good standing with the State Bar of Minnesota.
* Must possess a license to practice law in the State of Minnesota and Federal Court.
* Knowledge of legal principles, practices, and proceedings and of laws, regulations and rules, relating to the Band.

Reporting to the Chief of Staff in the Philadelphia Housing Authority's Executive Office, the Administrative Officer performs a variety of complex professional administrative and office management functions, prepares correspondences, maintains departmental records and filing systems; conducts special projects; performs other related duties.
Essential Job Functions:
Supports multiple Senior Executives, including the President & CEO, by maintaining calendars, setting appointments, maintaining reports, and managing meetings;
Coordinates office services such as personnel, budget control, records control/retention and special management studies and ensures that the work flow is efficient;
Identifies ways to improve workflow; simplifies reporting procedures and implements work saving methods;
Obtains research information for PHA projects;
Serves as supervisor's designee at meetings when needed, ensuring consistent departmental communication is delivered to meeting attendees; may make commitments in accordance with the supervisor's thinking if so authorized;
Prepares presentations for supervisor;
Presents departmental information to diverse audiences throughout the Authority, using a variety of mediums, including audio-visual aids.
May supervise other office staff;
Prepares executive reports, letters, memos, and correspondence for the department;
Sets up and maintains departmental file system;
Responds to inquiries, disseminates information and routes incoming calls to appropriate point of contact; follows up to ensure timely completion of delegated assignments;
Drafts correspondence and related reports and into final format; assures conformity of office correspondence to established requirements;
Conducts extensive clerical research and completes data for reports, questionnaires, and other documents; performs directed analysis; collects, assembles and verifies information, may have frequent contact with other organizational members and departments in the collection of data or the coordination of efforts that serve mutual interests and objectives;
Monitors requisitions, ensures invoices are paid in a timely manner, coordinates activities related to both internal and external organizations, and maintains petty cash funds in accordance with established procedures;
Maintains adequate supply closet levels and orders office supplies as needed;
Receives and distributes incoming mail;
Stays abreast of new trends and innovations in the field of office administration;
Maintains absolute confidentiality of work-related issues and PHA information; AND
Performs related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education, Training and Experience Guidelines:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration or a related field, AND five (5) years of administrative management support experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
Experience in public housing or another State or Federal agency is preferred.

Principles, methods and practices of public sector finance, budgeting and accounting.
Research techniques, methods and procedures and report presentation.

Job Summary
As a Summer Camp Leader for Daze and Fest Camps, you will lead exciting activities and field trips for children within our communities. Our programs serve a diverse population of children in grades K-8 at school sites across the county. As a Camp Leader, you will support our Camp Supervisors and Aides and be responsible for leading camp participants through arts and crafts, playground activities, and field trips to outdoor pools, sporting events, and other fun venues. Ideal candidates are passionate, energetic, and skilled at leading children and youth of all ages.
We are currently hiring for the following location(s):
* Eastern Loudoun (Vicinities of Sterling, Cascades)
* Central Loudoun (Vicinities of Lucketts, Leesburg, Ashburn)
* Western Loudoun (Vicinities of Bluemont, Purcellville, Round Hill, Lovettsville, and Philomont)
* Southern Loudoun (Vicinities of South Riding, Aldie, Arcola)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Providing consistent and effective communication with children, their parents, and/or guardians.
* Prioritizing the health, safety, and company service standards for all our external and internal customers.
* Lead pool/field trips and activities for all ages, abilities, and adaptive needs.
* Additional critical job responsibilities may be undertaken that are specific to the role and departmental assignment.
*Positions are scheduled from June 2026 to August 2026. *
*Workdays are Monday-Friday with flexible hours between 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. *
Consistent Scheduling and/or "As-Needed" scheduling are available and vary by location.
*This position is eligible for a $1,000.00 hiring bonus following the County's Hiring and Retention Bonus Program.
Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a High School diploma and Six (6) months of experience supervising children during recreational and educational activities.
Applicants who have completed the 10th grade may be considered for a lower grade level position until the completion of high school.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Skill in using iPad, phone, and laptop.
Job Contingencies and Special Requirements
Must undergo pre-employment, criminal, and fingerprinting background checks.
First Aid (Infant through Adult)/CPR certifications prior to hire or immediately upon hire.
Pass TB test within 30 days of hire and each year thereafter.
Must be willing to attend (up to) 10 hours of paid programmatic training before the summer to enhance skills and knowledge of school-aged childcare and programming.
Must be physically able to keep up with participants and lift 50 pounds.
