Under the general supervision of the Account Manager, the Plant Health Technician acts as the primary source, assessing and health of the landscape. Treating with herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, and plant food as necessary at our job sites. This position requires a valid CA driver's license and a clean driving record. RESPONSIBILITIES Diagnose insect, disease, and cultural/environmental conditions and recommend treatment options. Apply various types of treatments to mitigate and eliminate weeds, plant disease, and destructive insects and rodents in the landscape. Ensure proper filling/mixing procedures and material dilution are followed. Operate and maintain various types of equipment, including but not limited to power and hand sprayers, granule application equipment, and rodent traps Drive a pickup truck with a tow-behind equipment trailer, often independently Maintain accurate and timely records Complete continuing education requirements needed to maintain an active Qualified Applicators License. Uphold safety best practices and provide immediate reporting of unsafe working conditions and/or practices to the Supervisor Maintain open and professional communication with supervisors and clients to provide feedback on plant health care issues.
