Assignments will be tailored to the individual's grade and experience level (GS12 through GS15), but may include:
* Leading or supporting all phases of the federal acquisition life cycle, from acquisition planning through contract close-out for complex Information Technology (IT) contracts, construction contracts, and commodities and services buys of significant importance to the Department.
* Developing procurement strategies and acquisition packages, including Statements of Work, Independent Government Cost Estimates, market research, and source selection documentation.
* Conducting cost and price analysis, evaluating proposals, and participating in or leading negotiations.
* Preparing solicitations using a variety of acquisition methods and recommending award decisions in accordance with policy and regulation.
* Performing contract administration, including post-award conferences, performance monitoring, invoice oversight, modifications, and terminations where required.
* Advising program management staff and stakeholders on acquisition best practices and compliance matters.
* Working as an Other Transaction Agreement's Officer with authority to enter, administer, and/or terminate Other Transaction Agreements. Responsible for negotiating agreements that appropriately balance risk, incorporate good business sense, and include safeguards to protect the government's interest.

Qualifications
Deep understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and federal procurement statutes. Ability to apply appropriate regulations to a variety of procurement actions.

JOB SUMMARY
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care to assigned patients in the emergency room. Triages each patient and determines priority of care based on physical, psychological, and social needs. Overview
Under general supervision, an employee in this position is responsible for professional probation and parole work of considerable difficulty; performs related work as required. As a Senior Environmental Compliance Specialist, you will lead our employees and clients in project management, coordination, and implementation of comprehensive project work. EnSafe 's environmental compliance professionals evaluate industrial facilities' compliance status, assist them in applying for and complying with various environmental permits, and help facilities identify and comply with other environmental obligations. What You Will Be Doing:
The successful candidate should have a demonstrated ability to navigate local, state, and federal regulations with expertise in leading labor and material estimates, proposals, and business development efforts. They should be capable of developing and expanding existing market connections and client relationships. Areas of business include:
• Preparing environmental compliance reports in accordance with local, state, and federal requirements (e.g., RCRA, CAA, CWA, EPCRA)
• Periodic overnight travel to client locations throughout the U.S. to perform environmental compliance audits or to assist clients with specific environmental compliance determinations and tasks.
• Preparing stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs), spill prevention control and countermeasure (SPCC) plans, and hazardous waste contingency plans (HWCPs).
• Preparing environmental permitting and compliance programs for multiple environmental media, including air, wastewater, stormwater, waste, and EPCRA (e.g., Tier II, Form R or TRI 312 and 313 reporting).
• Managing projects while mentoring junior-level staff.
• Ensuring appropriate corrective and preventive action is taken to address non-conformance at client sites.
• In some cases, providing clients with project management, coordination, and implementation of comprehensive project work associated with environmental regulatory compliance and permitting.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of relevant Environmental Compliance experience.
• Strong consulting and critical thinking skills are required.
• Project management experience, including developing scopes of work, cost proposals and schedules, and managing multiple project teams simultaneously.
• Professional Engineering license, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, or other environmental certifications, is preferred.
Experience with one or more of the following is preferred:
• SPCC Plans and SWPPPs
• EPCRA 312 and 313 reporting
• Hazardous waste reporting
• Air emission source permitting
• Stormwater/wastewater (NPDES) permitting.
• Compliance auditing

Grade level eligibility and salaries vary depending upon background, including experience and education, and duty location of the opportunity. This is a career ladder position with a grade level progression of GS-5, GS-7, GS-9, GS-11, and GS-12. You will be eligible for a promotion to the next higher grade level (without re-applying) once you successfully complete 52 weeks in each grade level. Promotions are at the discretion of the agency.
Officers are eligible to select from an array of federal employment benefits that include health, dental and other insurance plans, a generous annual and sick leave program, and participation in the Thrift Savings Plan, a retirement plan akin to a traditional and ROTH 401(k) offering.
Qualifications:
You qualify for the GS-9 grade level in one of the following ways: experience, education, or a combination of both.
Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level that includes:
Detaining suspected violators of federal, state, or local laws and/or arresting violators using the proper law enforcement methods.
Enforcing the laws and regulations relating to importing, exporting, and/or international shipping to and from the United States.
Utilizing intelligence techniques and behavior analysis to identify potential threats and perform risk assessments for violations of laws and threats to national security.
Conducting interviews in a law enforcement capacity for the purposes of gaining information from suspected violators of laws to determine the appropriate course of action.
The above experience will be applied in connection with the following: Ability to make rapid, accurate judgments and decisions with respect to the application of the regulations, instructions, and procedures for importing and exporting merchandise to and from the United States; or enforcement and administration of laws relating to the right of persons to enter, reside in or depart from the United States, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Education Substitution: A master's (or higher) degree, or two or more years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, or an LL.B. or J.D. from an accredited college or university; OR
Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of specialized experience AND successfully completed graduate-level education. This will be calculated using your resume and official or unofficial transcripts submitted with your application.
Other Requirements:
Citizenship: You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this position.
Residency: You must have had primary U.S. residency (includes protectorates as declared under international law) for at least three (3) of the last five (5) years.
Age Restriction: In accordance with Public Law 100-238, this position is covered under law enforcement retirement provisions. Candidates must be referred for selection to the Customs and Border Protection Officer position before reaching their 40th birthday in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Directive 251-03. The age restriction may not apply if you are currently serving or have previously served in a federal civilian law enforcement (non-military) position covered by Title 5 U.S.C. 8336(c) or Title 5 U.S.C. 8412(d).
Veterans' Preference: You may also be eligible for an excepted service Veterans Recruitment Appointment (VRA). The age restriction does not apply if you are Veterans' Preference eligible.
Formal Training: You will be required to complete a paid pre-academy orientation for approximately two (2) weeks at your home port. You will then attend a 101-day training program - CBP Field Operations Academy - conducted at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) located in Glynco, GA. This training consists of basic law enforcement skills, immigration laws, firearms training, examination of cargo/bags/merchandise, physical fitness, etc. Candidates assigned to the southern border, Miami, or Puerto Rico duty locations must attend and pass an online Spanish training program, which will be completed at their home port. Successful completion of the Academy is required for this position.

Overview
Under general direction, is responsible for professional probation and parole work of average difficulty; and performs related work as required. This is the working level class in the Prob/Par Officer sub-series. An employee in this class supervises a caseload of probationers and/or parolees. This class is flexibly staffed with and differs from the Prob/Par Officer 1 in that an incumbent of the latter performs entry-level work. This class differs from the Prob/Par Officer 3 in that an incumbent of the latter is responsible for leading others in probation and/or parole work.
Responsibilities
Prepares and maintains offenders' records and reports; identifies criminal activities and background information in reports or standard forms which answer special requests by the parole board; prepares narrative reports of the investigation process; total caseload activities when preparing monthly reports.
Conducts searches of offender residences, vehicles, and person as required by policy and interview probationers and parolees regularly to evaluate their progress in accomplishing goals and maintaining the terms specified in their probation contracts and rehabilitation plans.
Conducts pre-hearing and pre-release investigations and testifies in court regarding their offenders backgrounds and recommended sentences and sentencing conditions as required by policy and searches on state, local, and federal databases for incidents and additional information related to their offenders.
Acts as liaison with judges, court personnel, law enforcement and other agencies concerned with the probation/parole program and who may have an effect upon the success of agency goals.
Interacts in a positive manner with fellow employees and offenders to foster and maintain a respectful and harmonious working environment.
Requests arrest warrants for non compliance by the offenders as required by policy and procedures and utilize compiled offender information in order to determine proper steps for treatment.
Handles offender complaints and grievances quickly and professionally as required by policy and procedures.
Investigates significant offender and staff related events to determine if incident reports are required by policy and procedures and assist offenders in decision making processes. Uses designated assessment tools to determine the offenders' risk level and frequency of needed services.

Overview
Under general direction, is responsible for professional probation and parole work of average difficulty; and performs related work as required. This is the working level class in the Prob/Par Officer sub-series. An employee in this class supervises a caseload of probationers and/or parolees. This class is flexibly staffed with and differs from the Prob/Par Officer 1 in that an incumbent of the latter performs entry-level work. This class differs from the Prob/Par Officer 3 in that an incumbent of the latter is responsible for leading others in probation and/or parole work.
Responsibilities
Prepares and maintains offenders' records and reports; identifies criminal activities and background information in reports or standard forms which answer special requests by the parole board; prepares narrative reports of the investigation process; total caseload activities when preparing monthly reports.
Conducts searches of offender residences, vehicles, and person as required by policy and interview probationers and parolees regularly to evaluate their progress in accomplishing goals and maintaining the terms specified in their probation contracts and rehabilitation plans.
Conducts pre-hearing and pre-release investigations and testifies in court regarding their offenders backgrounds and recommended sentences and sentencing conditions as required by policy and searches on state, local, and federal databases for incidents and additional information related to their offenders.
Acts as liaison with judges, court personnel, law enforcement and other agencies concerned with the probation/parole program and who may have an effect upon the success of agency goals.
Interacts in a positive manner with fellow employees and offenders to foster and maintain a respectful and harmonious working environment.
Requests arrest warrants for non compliance by the offenders as required by policy and procedures and utilize compiled offender information in order to determine proper steps for treatment.
Handles offender complaints and grievances quickly and professionally as required by policy and procedures.
Investigates significant offender and staff related events to determine if incident reports are required by policy and procedures and assist offenders in decision making processes. Uses designated assessment tools to determine the offenders' risk level and frequency of needed services.
Develops appropriate sanctions for offender non compliance with their conditions of release and develop a transitional accountability plan informing offenders of the requirements of conditional release, such as office visits, restitution payments, or educational and employment stipulations.
Monitors the offenders under their supervision to ensure compliance with release requirements set for the offenders by policy and procedures.

Annual Base Salary for newly appointed CBPOs varies as follows:
GS-5 and GS-7 $40,332 - $109,952 per year
Locality pay varies by duty location.Note: A fully trained CBPO is eligible for up to $45,000 in overtime pay in addition to the starting salary. Grade level eligibility and salaries vary depending upon background, including experience and education, and duty location of the opportunity. This is a career ladder position with a grade level progression of GS-5, GS-7, GS-9, GS-11, and GS-12. You will be eligible for a promotion to the next higher grade level (without re-applying) once you successfully complete 52 weeks in each grade level. Promotions are at the discretion of the agency. Officers are eligible to select from an array of federal employment benefits that include health, dental and other insurance plans, a generous annual and sick leave program, and participation in the Thrift Savings Plan, a retirement plan akin to a traditional and ROTH 401(k) offering.
Qualifications:
You qualify for the GS-5 grade level if you possess one of the following:
Experience:A minimum of three (3) years full-time general work experience that demonstrates the ability to meet and deal with people and the ability to learn and be able to apply a body of facts; OR

Utilizing observational techniques, evaluating facts, and reviewing documentation while applying Federal, State, or local laws and regulations.
Making determinations in compliance with laws and regulations that may lead to arrests, seizure of property, fines, and/or penalties based on findings. OR for the GS-7 grade level:
Education Substitution:A bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average (3.0 or higher), or (3) honor society membership; OR one (1) full year of graduate-level education. Operations Academy - conducted at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) located in Glynco, GA. This training consists of basic law enforcement skills, immigration laws, firearms training, examination of cargo/bags/merchandise, physical fitness, etc. Candidates assigned to the southern border, Miami, or Puerto Rico duty locations must attend and pass an online Spanish training program, which will be completed at their home port. Successful completion of the Academy is required for this position.
