DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will actively supervise employees involved in providing guidance, instruction, treatment, and specialized services to court-adjudicated youth in a secure or restricted setting. Your work will involve assigning tasks to staff and ensuring timely completion of reports. You will also participate with staff in providing for the physical care, custody, and supervision of the youths' daily activities that include recreation, housekeeping, personal hygiene, work assignments, and program requirements. Your duties will include assisting professional staff in implementing treatment plans and reporting on youths' progress in attaining goals. You will also communicate with youth about their thought processes, actions, and personal problems to provide insight into responsible behaviors and attitudes. Additionally, you will maintain order by verbally and physically intervening with disruptive, emotionally improper, and suicidal youth, as well as use appropriate physical restraint techniques to prevent escapes and control aggressiveness to maintain a safe, secure, or restricted environment.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Shift work in a 24/7/365 operation, holidays and weekends, 8-hour shifts with no duty-free lunch, and 5-day workweek with 2 set regular days off. Work hours will be determined from the following shifts:
1st shift: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
2nd shift: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
3rd shift: 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Voluntary and mandatory overtime and travel as needed
This may change based on operational needs.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Three years of experience in the care, custody, activities, or personal guidance of adolescents or adults in a human services or social services program, law enforcement or correctional program, or an educational, community, or military organization; or
One year of experience as a Juvenile Justice Specialist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
One year of experience in the care, custody, activities, or personal guidance of adolescents or adults in a human services or social services program, law enforcement or correctional program, or an educational, community, or military organization; and an associate's degree in social sciences, counseling, restorative justice, juvenile justice, child development, behavioral sciences, human services, criminal justice, education, or a closely related field; or

Summary/Objective:
The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all guests, personnel, and property within the facility. Job Announcement
In the Juvenile Intake unit, within the Intake Division, this position is responsible for providing civil and criminal intake services for cases involving juveniles. Duties include establishing jurisdiction, venue and probable cause, determining appropriate offenses, as well as whether the case will be handled through diversion or formal court action with the issuance of a petition. Decisions are made in accordance with the Code of Virginia, the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) standards, Court Services Unit (CSU) policies and procedures, as well as with the use of agency approved screening and tools.
As a part of those decisions, the intake officer is responsible for providing diversion services, which may include informal counseling, referrals to other agencies or other appropriate community resources, placing the youth on a diversion contract or setting the case for an informal hearing. If the decision is made to proceed formally the intake officer will generate legal paperwork which will become a part of the juvenile's legal file; attention to detail is a requirement in this position. This position requires data entry in databases managed by DJJ and the CSU.
As Juvenile Intake is a mandated service, this position has been identified as an essential employee by the county and requires reporting to work regardless of conditions such as inclement weather, county closures and holidays.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for safeguarding people and property while enforcing Commonwealth and facility regulations related to hospital operations. You will conduct mobile and foot patrols and monitor security systems and cameras throughout the facility to maintain law and order. Duties include preventing and detecting crimes, as well as investigating complaints and writing incident reports for security violations. You will assist in investigations, respond promptly to emergencies, and help manage or resolve critical situations. Additionally, you will perform safety patrols and inspections to identify fire or safety hazards that could threaten people or property. You will also oversee operations in the communications and dispatch center and use computer systems to manage access for employees and visitors.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
Work hours are 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Sunday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch. You will have every other weekend off and work rotating holidays.
Your schedule may change based on operational needs.

Loudoun County Animal Services is looking for a new humane law enforcement officer (HLEO) to join our expanding team. Our officers receive comprehensive training (both classroom and in-field), take-home vehicles, competitive pay, exceptional benefits (including ongoing training, tuition reimbursement and pension) and support from a community of over 440,000 residents.
The humane law enforcement team works within the department of Animal Services to provide comprehensive responses to calls that include dogs running at large, routine investigations, complex felonies, wildlife rescue, animal hoarding, technical large animal rescue (of livestock) and much, much more.
Job Summary
The Humane Law Enforcement team responds to over 5,000 annual calls for service, resolving the majority of these cases with education and positive outcomes, while maintaining a monthly court schedule, in which more serious and complex cases are presented and prosecuted. Officers work with the Animal Services sheltering and veterinary teams to collect forensic evidence and work towards comprehensive resolutions to animal welfare matters in Loudoun County. Minimum Qualifications
Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to high school diploma and 4 years of relevant experience.

Job Contingencies and Special Requirements
Humane Law Enforcement is a physically demanding occupation with the potential for exposure to infectious diseases, viruses, noxious fumes and chemicals, as well as risk of injury. A rabies pre-exposure vaccination series will commence immediately upon hire unless proof of prior vaccination is provided.
Must have the ability to handle large and potentially dangerous animals over 100 pounds.
Candidate will become a sworn Humane Law Enforcement Officer and will complete state mandated animal control training.
Must obtain certification in euthanasia within six months of employment. Candidate will also be required to obtain certifications in CPR, First Aid, Incident Command System 100 & 200, and qualifications to use authorized firearms.
The successful candidate will undergo criminal, fingerprint, credit, and DMV background checks as well as physical examination, to include a drug screening and psychological exam. Essential Functions

About the position.This position is a direct care/essential role that provides direct and engaging supervision of Youth in DYS State Operated Secure Facilities. Duties Include but are not limited to the following:
Safety/Security. Work involves providing direct care, safety, security, and supervision of adjudicated and/or pre-adjudicated youth in a secure setting. Monitor, participate, support, and enforce behavioral management plans for individual youth as directed (e.g. Behavioral Contracts, Individual Growth and Change Plans). Duties include supervision of youth or group of youth, supervision of daily activities, youth orientation, intervention in crisis situations, non-escalation, de-escalation, use of physical response/restraint in emergency situations, debriefing of all incidents, and conducting searches.
Youth Center Programming. Actively and with positive engagement, implement and follow the Youth Center's behavioral management program, teach, coach, and redirect youth within the program. Support DYS initiatives and strategies as they relate to youth programming and crisis intervention.
Documentation/Recording and Reporting. Document observations of youth behavior and response toprogram(s) and document all unit activities and required information in appropriate logs and records systems. Document all youth group activities in appropriate database systems.
Organizational Accountability. The City Center and Providence Rink is looking for a seasonal Safety and Security Coordinator position. The staff member will work under the supervision of programming coordinators and will report to the Director of Athletic and Event Facilities.
Opportunities at the City Center are fun, fast paced and challenging. Safety and Security coordinator must work to provide the best experience possible for patrons and staff at the facility. This position will work in a security role and promote park rules and regulations. This position will also assist in facility safety as well as opening and closing the facility.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Monitor outdoor winter facility for safety and security and enhance the experience of the rink customers by providing a fun and safe environment
Monitor theft or loss from patrons on ice rink without admission tickets
Coordinate with the public safety or police department if needed
Primary person for first aid response and incident reports

Play back security camera footage if needed

Examples of Duties

Job Summary
The SecuritySpecialist II (SSII) provides safe transportation for residents and staff conducting offsite county business of JTDC. Typical Duties

Assures that residents are secured and transported safely following JTDC outlined protocols.

Minimum Qualifications
• A bachelor's degree in information technology or a similar area with minimum of 2 years relevant work experience, or an associate degree in a related field along with three years of relevant work experience.
o Candidates who do not possess a degree, but have at least four years of direct, relevant experience will also be considered for this position.
• Applicants must possess at least one relevant security certification such as CompTIA security+, ISC2 certified in cybersecurity (others may be considered)
• Must have an appreciation for and an understanding of a two-year college mission.
• Relevant work experience should come from at least two of the following domains: Security and Risk Management, Asset Security, Security Architecture and Engineering, Communication and Network Security, Identity and Access Management, Security Assessment and Testing, Security Operations, and Software Development Security.
• Experience with service catalogs and service level agreements
• Experience working in both technical support and end-user support environments
• Demonstrated technical writing & documentation ability necessary
