The Psychologist will be directed by the Chief Psychologist and/or Senior Psychologist, Supervisor of the Psychology Department at the Department of State Hospitals - Atascadero (ASH). The incumbent will be responsible for the following duties but not limited to:
* Complete Admission Psychological Assessment (APA) for patients to further delineate and clarify psychiatric and psychological diagnoses.
* Conduct intellectual and cognitive assessments of all patients when clinically indicated.
* Conduct psychological assessments.
* Responsible for creating and monitoring behavioral interventions.
* Provide timely feedback to the patient, the results of psychological assessments and evaluations, and complete appropriate documentation of this interaction.

Premium Pay

THE DEPARTMENT
The Behavioral Health Services (BHS) Division consists of the following service areas Adult and Older Adult Behavioral Health, Children and Youth Services, Quality Management Services, Mental Health Services Act Office, Data Analytics and Evaluation, Crisis and Acute Care Services, Substance Use Services, and Forensics and Justice Involved. These service areas provide a culturally competent and client-centered system of behavioral health services for all eligible county residents in need of treatment for alcohol and other drug abuse and mental health care.
THE PROGRAMS
Children and Youth Services(CYS) provides outpatient behavioral health services to Medi-Cal eligible or uninsured children and youth who need medically necessary treatment to ameliorate their mental and behavioral health conditions. CYS provides case management, assessment, individual, group and family therapy, psychological testing, psychiatric evaluation and medication support, and therapeutic behavioral services to children and youth in Orange County.
Forensics and Justice Involved Divisionprovides oversight, evaluation, and treatment for all of the mental health justice involved for Orange County. This includes Collaborative Courts, AOT, Mental Health Diversion, AB109 & Re-entry, Assisted Intervention Court, Whatever It Takes collaborative court, and Recovery Court/Opportunity Court, CONREP, Lanterman-Petris-Short (LPS) Psychology Unit, SB317 Incompetent to Stand Trial Diversion unit, CARE Court, and Early Access and Stabilization Services.
THE OPPORTUNITIES
The immediate vacancies are within CYS and the Forensics and Justice Involved divisions.
CYS offers a range of vital services to children and adolescents in Orange County, including case management, assessment, individual and family therapy, group therapy, psychological testing, psychiatric evaluations, medication support, and peer support. This role will be based in either the Clinical Evaluation and Guidance Unit (CEGU) Orangewood or CEGU Probation, focusing on justice involved youth or youth involved in the child welfare system. In this position, you'll work directly with children, teens, and their families, providing support through these diverse services. Your goal will be to help these young individuals develop essential skills for thriving in their communities while addressing the challenges they face.
The ClinicalPsychologist position withing the SB317 program in the Forensics and Justice Involved division conducts placement evaluation for Misdemeanor Incompetent to Stand Trial (IST). The county provides placement evaluations to determine appropriateness for Diversion, Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT), CARE, Conservatorship, or a Modified Treatment plan. This role includes interfacing with C58, attending court meetings, and following up with Misdemeanor IST individuals when applicable. The position requires court testimony as well as participation in treatment team meeting with the court.
The ClinicalPsychologist position in Care Court program in the Forensics and Justice Involveddivision provides Expert Witness testimony to Superior Courts on mental health and grave disability issues brought to the court on behalf of the County of Orange. This LPS Psychologist role specifically involves evaluating individuals for Murphy Conservatorships, with evaluations typically conducted at correctional or state hospital facilities. The Psychologist must be knowledgeable in court protocols, case development and strategy, and must be able to explain psychotropic medications in layman's terms. They will need to testify in both bench and jury trials and collaborate closely with the Public Guardian's Office of the County of Orange. An understanding of risk and dangerousness assessments, mental health law, and expert court testimony experience is preferred. Additionally, the Psychologist will need to produce reports that integrate developmental and clinical factors, using evidence-based assessment tools for evaluating competence to stand trial and assess dangerousness.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

The Shasta County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) partners with the community to protect and improve the health and wellbeing of Shasta County residents. The Behavioral Health & Social Services Branch is dedicated to improving the well-being of our community through comprehensive mental health services and essential social services to adults, children, and families. By integrating both behavioral health and social support services, we strive to build a healthier community by ensuring individuals have the resources they need to achieve stability and wholeness.
Children's Services encompass the services that help ensure children's mental and physical well-being are protected and safe. The Child Welfare division of the branch investigates alleged abuse and neglect of children, and it licenses foster and adoptive homes for children who are experiencing traumatic events in their lives such as the removal from their caregiver due to alleged abuse and neglect. This division also works within the confines of the Dependency Court to reunify families when and where they can demonstrate appropriate change to meet the safety needs of their children. The branch also encompasses children's mental health teams which work in conjunction with the Child Welfare division along with community providers to ensure that the youth that are being served are having their mental health and substance use challenges addressed. This branch also works with juvenile justice and education to coordinate services for clients.
Adult Services focuses on services to support people eighteen and older. Adult mental health services include outpatient mental health care, 24-hour crisis stabilization services for people at risk of hospitalization, 24-hour crisis line, social rehabilitation residential services, long-term placement services and referrals to local non-profit organizations that provide additional services. This branch also provides Adult Protective Services to follow-up on elder abuse reports. In-Home Supportive Services help those who need assistance with daily activities in order to remain safely in their own homes, and the Public Authority keeps a registry that helps In-Home Supportive Services recipients find a screened caregiver to provide those services. The Public Guardian helps citizens who are unable to manage their personal and financial affairs and may require guardianship or conservatorship. Mental Health Services Act administration is also housed in the Adult Services Branch.

This is the experienced working level ClinicalPsychologist class. We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Chief Psychologist to lead and oversee psychological services within a large forensic treatment facility. This position performs difficult, complex, and responsible clinical and administrative work involving the supervision, coordination, and evaluation of psychological services delivered across multiple hospital treatment programs. Key Responsibilities include:
Clinical Leadership and Supervision
* Functionally supervise and coordinate the clinical activities of psychologists assigned to various hospital treatment programs and patient units.

Under the general direction of the Senior Psychologist, Correctional Facility (Supervisor), the Psychologist-Clinical, Correctional Facility, is responsible for preadmission screenings, psychologist evaluation of inmates admitted to the program, crisis intervention, individual therapy, treatment and discharge planning, participating in interdisciplinary team evaluations, and consulting with the psychiatrist, nursing and other staff. The psychologist may be assigned other clinical duties throughout the institution, including participation in staff meeting, institutional committees, and consults with custody staff as well as supervision and training to students, interns, unlicensed psychologists and other staff. The psychologist may also participate in program evaluation and research, and may provide consultation on research design and analysis of data.
Minimum Qualifications:
License: Possession of a valid license as a Psychologist issued by the California Board of Psychology and possession of an earned Doctorate Degree in Psychology from an educational institution meeting the criteria of Section 2914 of the Medical Board of California's Business and Professions Code.
Individuals who do not qualify for licensure by the California Board of Psychology or who are in the process of securing this license will be admitted into the examination and may be appointed, but must secure a valid license within three years of an appointment or the employment shall be terminated. For persons employed less than full time, an extension of a waiver of licensure may be granted for additional years proportional to the extent of part-time employment, as long as the person is employed without interruption in service, but in no case shall the waiver exceed five years.
(Unlicensed individuals who are recruited from outside the State of California and who qualify for licensure may take the examination and may be appointed for a maximum of two years at which time licensure shall have been obtained or the employment shall be terminated. Additionally, they must take the licensure examination at the earliest possible date after the date of employment.)

CAREER DESCRIPTION CLINICALPSYCHOLOGIST II Correctional Health Services Salary may be negotiablewithin the range listed above, based on position requirements and successful candidate's qualifications, subject to appropriate authorization. Premium Pay In addition to the hourly salary, eligible applicants may receive premium pay for the items listed below:
* Bilingual pay:Qualified employees who meet the criteria found (page 16)shall receive an additional seventy $0.70 cents per hour for all hours paid.
* Night Shift Differential pay: Employees assigned to a night shift shall be paid a night shift differential for each hour actually worked on the assigned night shift. Pay rate is determined by assigned shift hours foundhere(page 13).

CORRECTIONAL HEALTH SERVICES

THE OPPORTUNITY
The County of Orange, Health Care Agency is seeking a licensed ClinicalPsychologist to provide comprehensive diagnostic clinical mental health evaluations and participate in a psychotherapeutic program for the severely and persistently mentally ill clients within the Orange County Jail system.

Responsibilities of the ClinicalPsychologist II position will include but are not limited to:
* Assess clients for current level of functioning and psychiatric history
* Provide psychotherapeutic interventions for individuals and groups with a wide range of psychological and substance use disorders
* Select, administer, score and interpret a wide variety of objective and projective tests (i.e. intelligence, personality, cognitive, aptitude and behavioral)
* Conduct psychological research and analyze statistical data in relation to Adult CHS (ACHS) program outcomes
* Participate in mental health quality management team to assist ACHS in program evaluation, streamlining processes and outcomes for increased effectiveness and efficiency
* Participate and provide mental health training seminars/presentations and in services didactic learning and training
* Assist in complex case analysis and provide guidance to other clinical staff regarding appropriate psychological evidence-based practices
* Provide clinical supervision to ClinicalPsychologist I, Doctorate Practicum Students and Interns from contracted agencies with HCA Volunteer Services
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES
The ideal candidate will possess a doctoral degree in clinical psychology with at least two (2) years of post-licensure clinical experience. In addition, the ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge and experience in the following competencies below:
Technical Expertise and Knowledge of
* Title 15 Minimum Standards for Local Adult Facilities (California Code of Regulations - CCR), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Board of State and Community Corrections, and other local, State and Federal standards as it relates to correctional settings
* Jail security policies and willingness to seek consultation with supervisor if uncertain
* HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) guidelines
* Conducting psychological testing and assessments for the purpose of diagnosis, treatment and prognoses of mentally ill clients and individuals with developmental disabilities
* Gathering, evaluating and interpreting psychological and statistical data
* Administering discharge planning and providing case management for the mentally ill and substance using clients
* Expertise in mental health and substance use diagnoses, symptoms and behaviors
* Applying current evidence-based practices to treat mentally ill clients and to reduce relapse and recidivism
* Administering latest trends and evidence-based psychological treatment and assessment protocols
* Conducting psychological interventions that promote health and wellness to clients served
* Knowledge of Lanterman-Petris-Short (LPS) Act laws and the application of its associated mandates

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
* Incumbents are required to pass a comprehensive background investigation prior to a formal offer and acceptance of employment

* Must be able to pass and maintain background investigation to the satisfaction of the Orange County Sheriff-Coroner. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Will be required to work in a locked facility with adult inmates who have multiple and complex health, social and psycho-social needs; may work with inmates who have communicable diseases and/or behavioral health issues; may be assigned to work one weekend day per week, and to work holidays as needed as the institutions are a 24 hour, 7 day a week facilities and coverage is essential. The environment can also be noisy and at times chaotic, will be exposed to profanity and/or anti-social behavior. There is a no hostage policy for the Orange County Jail.

Job Description
The San Francisco California Children Services (CCS) Medical Therapy Program (MTP) is a program under Children's Medical Services (CMS) that provides physical and occupational therapy, medical case management, and utilization review for specialty medical care to children with certain eligible handicapping or catastrophic conditions ages birth to 21 years at the Medical Therapy Unit (MTU) sites.
The MTU Clinic Chief Therapist Manager serves as the primary therapy consultant assisting the CCS Medical Director to determine eligibility for CCS therapy services and to authorize related services according to State program medical criteria. The Chief Therapist plays a pivotal role in leading and managing the provision of physical and occupational therapy services to children with CCS-eligible disabling conditions. This position combines leadership, administrative responsibilities, and direct patient care.
Essential Duties
Program Management & Operations - Overall responsibility for the daily operation of the Medical Therapy Unit
Oversees program development to provide high quality therapy services including appropriate communications with clients/families and coworkers and meeting professional and program requirements for documentation

Qualifications
License:

The San Francisco Health Network is the City's only complete system of care and has locations throughout the City, including Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center, Laguna Honda Hospital and Rehabilitation Center, and over 15 primary care health centers.
The Population Health Division (PHD) provides core public health services for the City and County of San Francisco: health protection, health promotion, disease and injury prevention, and disaster preparedness and response.
Behavioral Health Services operates in conjunction with SFHN and provides a range of mental health and substance use treatment services.

Job Description The San Francisco California Children Services (CCS) Medical Therapy Program (MTP) is a program under Children's Medical Services (CMS) that provides physical and occupational therapy, medical case management, and utilization review for specialty medical care to children with certain eligible handicapping or catastrophic conditions ages birth to 21 years at the Medical Therapy Unit (MTU) sites.
The MTU Clinic Chief Therapist Manager serves as the primary therapy consultant assisting the CCS Medical Director to determine eligibility for CCS therapy services and to authorize related services according to State program medical criteria.
The Chief Therapist plays a pivotal role in leading and managing the provision of physical and occupational therapy services to children with CCS-eligible disabling conditions.
This position combines leadership, administrative responsibilities, and direct patient care.
Essential Duties Program Management & Operations - Overall responsibility for the daily operation of the Medical Therapy UnitOversees program development to provide high quality therapy services including appropriate communications with clients/families and coworkers and meeting professional and program requirements for documentation Develops internal processes and identifies opportunities for improvement in workflow and quality assurance Prepares annual budget and assist fiscal team with management of Pos, invoices, and other fiscal related tasks for the MTU Supervision & Staff Development - Supervises direct reports including Senior Occupational Therapist, Senior Physical Therapist, and clerical staff Supervises Medical Therapy Unit staff including training, professional development, and delegation of tasks Leads hiring for Medical Therapy Unit staff Evaluates staff performance by following guidelines for annual performance reviews and providing regular feedback for growth and career advancement Compliance & Standards - Ensures that all services are delivered in compliance with CCS policies and procedures, as well as relevant state and federal regulations Assures that the Medical Therapy Unit is compliant with regulations and requirements of California Department of Health Care Services, California Children's Services (DHCS/CCS), Medi-Cal, professional standards, licensure requirements, and CCSF/DPH standards and requirements Develops procedures and ensures adherence to best practices in pediatric therapy Provides subject matter expertise to CCS leadership on policy development affecting Medical Therapy Unit service delivery Clinical Leadership - Demonstrates clinical expertise within and outside the department Participates in statewide work groups to establish best practices Collaborate with school administrators and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to the child's care Directs research applicable to therapy services Represents the department in intra and interagency committees, workgroups, and meetings, including presentations and trainings regarding the program at the local, regional, and state levels Coordinates and manages Medical Therapy Conferences Interdisciplinary Collaboration - Collaborates with clients, caregivers, and CCS staff to develop and implement individualized care plans Offers recommendations for Durable Medical Equipment (DME) like orthotics, wheelchairs, and other assistive devices Provides consultation to CCS Case Managers, Medical Directors, Medical Consultants, and others as needed regarding client services Assists with the development of Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) and Interagency Agreements (IAA) in collaboration with the San Francisco Unified School District, managed health plans, and DHCS Equity - Prioritizes equitable outcomes for clients and staff Applies the tenets of racial humility, health & social equity, and health disparities to procedure development and policy recommendations Prioritize equity processes in MTU infrastructure to achieve equitable outcomes for clients as well as staff Works with culturally diverse staff and communities, including but not limited to marginalized communities, Medi-Cal patient populations, minorities, immigrants, etc.
