JOB SUMMARY
Assist in establishing and maintaining standards of procedure to ensure the quality of cleanliness in the public areas.
HOURLY RATE: $19.00
HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY
* Assist in the supervision and control of the public area housekeeping operation
* Train all public area personnel in the operation of all equipment and the proper use of all chemicals
* Coordinate entire operation with public area housekeeping manager
* Issue keys, beepers, and radios to porters at beginning of shift, collect same at end of end of shift
* Inspect each piece of equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and stored in the appropriate areas. If any discrepancies are found, issue work order and deliver to repair shop.
* Ensure supply closets are properly maintained
* Make hourly inspections throughout the public areas to ensure employees are performing to the best of their ability and make necessary adjustments if needed
* Periodically report to the public area manager on the quality of performance of each employee supervised
* Evaluate and appraise employee performance. Administer praise and discipline in accordance with company policy
* Maintain daily incident and progress reports and ensure copies are given to public area housekeeping manager
* Inspect sign-in sheets for accuracy
* Ensure proper dress code is enforced
* Maintain regular, predictable attendance in accordance with department policies
* Perform related duties as assigned by public area housekeeping manager and or director of hotel operations

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Working knowledge of cleaning equipment and cleaning chemicals
Knowledge of current cleaning techniques
