1950 Division: DT Harry Massman starts his own delivery company with a single bobtail truck

1964

1964 Division: DT Ron Massman joins his father at Dependable Trucking

1968

1968 Division: DT Dependable Trucking acquires Freight Transport and initiates public warehousing and harbor drayage services

1972

1972 Division: DDC Galaxy Distribution warehouse opens in Los Angeles, later to be renamed Dependable Distribution Centers (DDC)

1973

1973 Division: DT Bob Massman joins his father and brother at Dependable Trucking

1978

1978 Division: DT Dependable Trucking initiates ocean freight forwarding service from California to Hawaii

1980

1980 Division: DHX Ron Massman forms new company, Dependable Hawaiian Express, Inc. (DHX), an ocean freight forwarder serving Hawaii.

1981

1981 Division: DHX DHX expands services to Guam, after acquiring Seaway Distribution, an ocean freight forwarder serving Hawaii and Guam.

1985

1985 Division: DHX Dependable Hawaiian Express, Inc. changes its name to DHX, Inc.

1986

1986 Division: DHE Dependable Trucking changes its name to Dependable Highway Express, Inc.

1987

1987 Division: DHE DHE expands into regional truckload service, by acquiring Interlines Trucking, a regional and local LTL/truckload carrier.

1989

1989 Division: DHX DHX opens trucking service in Guam

1990

1990 Division: DHE Initiates Statewide LTL service with the acquisition of SOS, Inc. in San Leandro, CA

1992

1992 Division: DHX DHX opens trucking service in Honolulu

1993

1993 Division: DHE DHE acquires 1.5 million square foot distribution warehouse in Los Angeles, CA from Sears, opening the largest public warehouse facility under one roof in the United States.

1994

1994 Division: DHX DHX acquires Pan Oceana Freight Forwarding, increasing its Guam presence.

1996

1996 Division: DHX DHX acquires Lahaina Cartage and opens trucking service in Maui.

1997

1997 Division: DHX DHX announces new air freight forwarding division, later to become Dependable AirCargo Express (DAX). Division: DHE DHE purchases Freight Train Trucking, expanding regional truckload division into Texas

1999

1999 Division: DHX DHX expands service to Australia and New Zealand, after acquiring ocean freight forwarder Transitainer DHX opens strategic consolidation locations thoughout the Continental United States

2002

2002 Division: DHX DHX opens offices in Chicago, New York, Sydney and Melbourne and opens container freight stations in Charlotte, NC, Baltimore, MD, and Boston, MA

2003

2003 Division: DHE DHE introduces terminal in Fresno, CA after acquiring Shane Transportation’s LTL business Division: DGX DGX expands service offerings to include US Imports.

2005

2005 Division: DHX DHX opens facility in Rancho Dominguez, CA to manage Home Depot’s Hawaii distribution DHX acquires Cavalry Express, a Chicago-based air freight forwarder DHX acquires HT&T and opens trucking operations in Kona, Hawaii.

2006

2006 Division: DHE DHE acquires Sacramento, CA based LTL carrier Rath Trucking Division: DHX DHX spins off airfreight business, creating a new company called Dependable AirCargo Express (DAX). DHX acquires its Guam Terminal and purchases land to build terminals in Maui and Kona.

2007

2007 Division: DHE DHE purchases assets of Pomona-based truckload carrier, Golden Eagle Express, and adds truckload service to and from Mexico Division: DHX DHX becomes a C-TPAT member and licensed Customs Broker.

2010

2010 Division: DHE DHE purchases LTL carrier Matheson Fast Freight, expanding freight service in CA, AZ, and NV

2011

2011 Division: TDC The Dependable Companies places solar panels on its corporate headquarters in Los Angeles creating the world’s largest solar grid on an industrial high-rise building Division: DHX DHX Maui Terminal converts to solar energy.

2012

2012 Division: DDC DDC acquired the business of Atlant, Inc., a Rancho Dominguez, CA based warehouse and trucking company Division: DGX DGX opens its Malaysia office.

2014

2014 Division: DHE DHE LTL begins offering 3 to 5 day service between CA, AZ & NV to and from 13 New England States Division: DGX DGX opens office in Mumbai expanding international services to and from India

2015

2015 Division: DAX DAX acquires DGX and changes its name to DGX.

2018

2018 Division: TDC, DSCS Enterprise name changed from Dependable Companies to “Dependable Supply Chain Services” representing all Dependable Divisions Division: DHE DHE LTL begins offering 2 to 4 day service between CA, AZ & NV to and from TX & OK

2020

2020 Division: DHE DHE LTL begins offering 2 to 3 day service between CA, AZ & NV to and from OR, WA & ID

2021

2021 Division: DHX DHX acquires Hawaiian Express Service Inc., an 85-year-old freight forwarding company serving Hawaii, Guam and Alaska
