Example Of What A Derrick Operator does

Managed pressure system for circulatiing during well control, drilling, and BOP, choke manifold testing operations.
Haul poles to the job, hand dig or auger holes, set poles.
Start pumps that circulate mud through drill pipes and boreholes to cool drill bits and flush out drill-cuttings.
Maintained trip tank and keep up with trip sheets for potential well control situations.
Install underground and overhead cable and pipe to manhole, control cabinet, lights and signals.
Monitor mud pumps for proper operation and maintenance to ensure functionality.
Operate derrick rig on double triple pulling unit
Assist in the daily operations of gas and oil well drilling while keeping safety our number one priority.
Work derricks while tripping pipe.
