Director Of Human Resources Job in Minot, ND
As a HR Director you will be responsible for all the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department. This includes but is not limited to managing the hiring and interviewing process, working with the payroll manager to handle the compensation pay, benefits, onboarding and separation leave of employees, and enforcing company policies and practices. You will collaborate with the members of management and their subordinates including. The successful candidate will utilize their knowledge in Human Resources and Business Administration to implement best practices.
Responsibilities
Working closely with department managers to understand the skills and competencies required for openings as well as assisting in recruiting, interviewing, and facilitating the hiring of job applicants for open positions.
Conducts background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
Handles new hire orientation.
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compliance reporting and all other HR reporting, benefits, and separation leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Performs other duties as assigned.
About You
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
A minimum of two years of human resource management experience preferred.
Experience with compliance reporting, health insurance benefit administration
Skills & Qualifications
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities in English.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
