Keep delivery vehicles clean; report any mechanical problems. The essential functions as shown below represent only the key areas of responsibility; specific position requirements will vary depending on the needs of the Logistics department. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Compile food, supplies and materials requisitioned by district staff in preparation for delivery to departments and schools. May work in the freezer. Load and unload food, supplies and material efficiently and safely. Drive delivery vehicles as needed to distribute requisitioned food, supplies and materials to departments and schools in an efficient and timely manner. Properly deliver to designated locations, pick up and return food, supplies and materials as assigned. Ensure that all food, supplies and materials delivered to departments and schools are checked for damage, quantities verified and discrepancies are reconciled. Service and maintain truck on a routine basis including fueling and washing. Complete pre-trip inspection reports and submit to supervisor. Assist in receiving food, supplies and materials, check in items, palletize and carry out receiving procedures. Assist with monthly physical inventory and assist with rotating merchandise. Ensure the warehouses and other areas are clean, neat and orderly. Cover for Warehouse III during absence, as assigned. Have thorough knowledge of all Logistics delivery routes. Notify Warehouse Managers of schedule changes affecting accidents and breakdowns with appropriate forms and procedures. Use Lockout/Tagout procedures according to established guidelines. Communicate verbally and in written formats in an effective, concise, and tactful manner while providing exemplar customer service to all stakeholders.
