If you work in the retail part of Deseret Book it is only worth it of you are retired or a student. The wages are low compared to other retail places.
Full time employees have good benefits. Better than most. Part time employees only perk they get is Deseret Book will match whatever they take out of their 401k
Worked in the retail part of the company. Not that hard to prepare for an interview, since retail jobs are entry level.
Deseret Book needs to pay their retail employees more money. They have too much turnover. Lose good people to other companies that will pay them more.
The main person in charge of Deseret Book is Laurel Christensen. Sheri Dew is the CEO, but she is more on the DMC side. Deseret Management Corporation. Don't know much about them, but I'm sure they're good people.
The compensation is much lower compared to competitors.
