Our Building Services Team and Projects
You will join our rapidly growing team of nearly 30 MEP/FP engineers and designers. Our senior technical and project management leaders have earned an outstanding reputation with architectural, institutional, industrial, state, and local government clients. We provide MEP/FP design and construction phase services for new construction or renovations to municipal buildings, commercial buildings, educational facilities, and water and wastewater treatment facilities.

What will you be doing?
You will support our project teams on the development of MEP/FP design plans using Revit and AutoCAD platforms. In your position you will be responsible for handling multiple drafting assignments concurrently, the initial set-up and organization or plan/drawing sets, creating drawings and models based upon written and verbal guidance from designers and engineers, and working closely with design staff to ensure drawings are accurate and complete. You will thoroughly review all modeling and drafting assignments for accuracy, completeness, quality, and conformance with the company's drafting standards.

What do you need?
You will need five or more years of experience drafting and modeling building mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems. You should have a proficiency working in Revit and AutoCAD with a working knowledge of Revit/CAD standards and best practices. You should have a diploma or certificate in technical drafting or the equivalent of practical training. You should be detail oriented, an effective communicator, and have a strong understanding of the requirements for development of plan sets for the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection disciplines.

**Job Brief**

The position is for general plant design in the discipline of mechanical systems requiring knowledge of piping layout, piping details, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), and as a plus knowledge of concrete/structural drawing to perform given assignments.

**Job Responsibilities**

• Designs or assists with design and application of generating facilities in the mechanical and piping systems, knowledge of civil/structural drawing is a plus.

• May be involved with project evaluations, surveys, investigations, studies, estimates, drawings, sketches, work order requests, material requests, notice to proceed project documents.

• Provides design package consisting of physical drawings, from own notes or engineering concepts.

• Assists ins. the documentation of division design standards and procedures.

• May be required to contact outside agencies such as manufactures and vendors relating to project specifics.

• Must be proficient with the latest version of Bentley Systems MicroStation Connect.

• Requires out of town travel to generating site.

**Additional Information**

With minimal direction prepares complete engineering drawings or diagrams from own field notes or sketches of delineating engineering systems of equipment, structures, and plant arrangements with sufficient detail in drawings to review with engineer(s) in developing final drawings. The position may involve the ability to answer questions pertaining to field installation.

Must have good oral and written communication skills to assist in coordination activities with project team members and construction personnel. Experience in the use of office programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently on a variety of tasks simultaneously.

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Designer to anchor our Mechanical Discipline providing design services to our engineering practices across the firm. The successful candidate shall have a minimum of 2-5 years of HVAC Design Experience using REVIT software.


  • The candidate will have experience in the design, layout, of HVAC systems including ductwork and piping distribution. Experience with layout of AHU’s, and Mechanical Rooms is a plus.
  • Candidate will be able to draw 3D ductwork, piping in 3D architectural models receiving direction from a Lead Engineer.
  • Candidate will have the opportunity to progress into an HVAC Senior HVAC design and/or Engineering position.

Education and Experience:

Job Requirements:
