Performs analysis as required to ensure meeting product performance and reliability requirements. Conducts feasibility studies and prepares preliminary cost estimates of designs and redesigns. Assists in fabricating and building working prototypes of new products. May assist the purchasing department in vendor selection. Assist in the development of work instructions that convey design intent to the assembly process. Coordinates project progress by monitoring the performance of designers, drafters, and other personnel. Troubleshoot product systems as required and work directly with technicians and assemblers to resolve issues. Provide engineering support to Field Service to assist in resolving warranty and performance issues. Understand multi-level product Bill of Material structure to effectively develop options and/or accessories to support product sales. Evaluate product cost reduction proposals to determine feasibility. May include travel to the field and/or trade shows. Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology 3-5 years of engineering experience; mobile equipment applications are a plus. SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM experience and proficiency are required. AutoCAD experience is a plus. Fluid power system design Knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus. Working in a Manufacturing environment is a plus. Position Responsibilities***
Lead project interviews for specific projects and possess a skill set to prepare fee proposals and negotiate contracts
Assist in business development, identifying and developing market opportunities and participating in project interviews for firm wide projects
Act as Engineer-in-responsible-charge, including making technical decisions in the respective field, reviewing, stamping and signing Construction Documents
Schedule project and related workloads and represent Cushing Terrell in project meetings and assist in strategy meetings
Check drawings and prepare feedback to project team
Direct activities of workers and consultants engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents
Manage financial aspects of contracts (billing, fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect company's interest and simultaneously maintain a good relationship with client
Be responsible for executing supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws including interviewing and training, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining team members, addressing complaints and resolving Issues
Provide leadership, communications, training, mentorship, continuous assignments, and feedback to team members
Be a resource/advisor for continuing education topics/needs
Take an active role in professional development

Responsibilities include project management and design of irrigation and water resource engineering projects, NEPA permitting, engineering report writing, construction management; and coordination with other engineering staff, suppliers, contractors, and clients.
The candidate must have a proven track record of marketing, building strong relationships, securing work with potential clients, and providing exceptional project delivery to existing clients.

Requirements:
Qualified candidates will have a BS/BA in Engineering or related degree and a minimum of 10+ years of experience in irrigation design and/or water resource related fields.
