AWS is looking for a dynamic Commissioning Engineer. It is the responsibility of all Amazonians to have alignment with our leadership principles and demonstrate these at the highest level.
The responsibilities of the ACx Commissioning Engineer (CxE) include, but are not limited to, oversight and coordination of multi-discipline division of work related to design review and commissioning of Amazon critical infrastructure for new construction and special projects. The CxE is responsible for supporting vendors, contractors, and other teams involved in the construction and commissioning of various systems including medium and low voltage power systems, Generators, UPS, HVAC, Chilled Water, BMS, and EPMS systems. They shall provide multi-discipline input into the scheduling, test script development, designing, and planning of projects. In addition, the CxE will be required to develop and review electrical and mechanical component and integrated systems testing along with other commissioning documents to ensure they are compliant with the basis of design, specification, industry standards and sequence of operations. It is the CxE responsibility to ensure that all commissioning procedures follow the appropriate safety practices and policies. CxE is responsible for auditing commissioning activities continuously to ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements. The CxE proactively communicates with the ACx Regional Manager and the ACx team to ensure that the applicable test documents are created and executed in accordance with all commissioning requirements. This individual will be responsible for comprehensive weekly reporting of status of all ongoing projects, lessons learned, and program improvements to continually improve the quality of our program. This position will include coverage of multiple inflight projects and tight schedules.

Key job responsibilities
As the Commissioning Engineer (CxE), you will provide testing and validation oversight of AWS data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure. This includes, but not limited to, review of design documents and equipment submittals, leading Factory Witness Testing (FWT), and managing third-party commissioning vendors in the performance of onsite pre-functional, functional, and integrated systems testing. A day in the life
On a typical project, the CxE works across AWS engineering, capacity delivery, operations, and contractor teams to coordinate site activities, prioritize tasks, and ensure each issue has clear path to resolution. The CxE manages the project commissioning vendor whose primary scope is to execute functional tests, identify issues, determine criticality, propose solutions, and document their findings. If project turnover is at risk, the CxE escalates to the appropriate stakeholders. Upon project completion, the CxE will communicate lessons learned to help peers on similar projects in flight and participate in initiatives that drive improvement to the commissioning program.

Under general supervision and/or direction, the incumbent is responsible for the planning, building, delivery and support of the Identity and Access Management (IAM) program. This position will provide direction and guidance to the development, specifications and communications of the IAM application and architecture, and provide in-depth technical consultation to the College units, departments, and OIT management, and assist in developing plans and direction for the integration of information security requirements.
Essential Functions:
Identity and Access Management:
Design, implement, and manage identity services solutions, including authentication, authorization, and identity lifecycle management to provide a strong IAM program.
Ensure the integrity and security of the College's identity data.
Identify and evaluate complex business and technology risks, internal controls that mitigate risks, and related opportunities for internal control improvement.
Develop and maintain Role-Based Access control (RBAC), Attribute-Based Access control (ABAC), and least-privilege models to reduce access risk.
Integrate systems with Single Sign-on (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) using SSO and MFA technologies.
Implement and manage Privileged Account Management (PAM) controls including credential vaulting and session monitoring.
Monitor, investigate, and respond to IAM-related incidents, abnormal login behavior, and security alerts.
Maintain detailed documentation of IAM architecture, configurations, integrations, and process flows.
Ensure IAM alignment with regulatory, audit, and compliance requirements across the organization.

Oversee performance of assigned trades, including project status, schedule, cost control, change management systems, and maintain relationships with clients, designers, and consultants
Supporting the creation and maintenance of project schedules
Assisting with submittals, RFIs, and change order processing
Coordinating project documentation and digital records
Communicating with subcontractors and vendors
Education:
4-year degree in Construction Management or related field required
Work Experience:
3-5 years of experience required, in commercial construction is preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong critical thinking and proactive problem-solving abilities
Highly organized with attention to detail
Effective communicator and team collaborator
Strong multitasking and decision-making skills
Ability to travel daily across DC-Metro area jobsites
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction platforms
Physical Requirements:
Moderate physical activity; driving, walking rough terrain, climbing stairs/ladders
Work Environment:
Onsite, outdoor work in all weather conditions; moderate to loud noise exposure
