Skills: Must-haves: Knowledge of engineering principles and practices Experience using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tools to analyze aerodynamics and heat transfer problems for aerospace vehicles Experience analyzing free- and force-convection heat-transfer models for aerospace vehicle interiors Successful execution of thermal analysis in support of 14 CFR Part 25 Type Certification (TC) or Supplemental Type Certification (STC) or programs Understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams Ability to obtain/maintain secret clearance Preferred: Familiarity with testing to support thermal analysis model verification and validation Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry Understanding of system-level static and dynamic modeling and simulation Experience with Siemens STAR-CCM+ and/or FLOEFD preferred Knowledge of industry standard aerospace principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, fundamentals of flight mechanics Education: Bachelor's of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or other related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
