We are seeking a skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Des Moines. This position offers an excellent opportunity to further your expertise in structural engineering and take on greater responsibility in the design and execution of complex projects.
As a Design Engineer, you will work closely with senior engineers, contributing to the analysis, design, and documentation of a variety of structural systems.
Lead and Contribute to Structural Design: Perform structural analysis and design of building components, including framing systems, foundations, and connections, using industry-standard software and ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
Prepare and Review Structural Calculations and Documentation: Develop and verify complex structural calculations, prepare technical reports, and create design documentation to support project deliverables.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering; Master's degree preferred

Engineer in Training (EIT) required, Professional Engineer (PE) license preparation in progress
Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETABS, SAP2000)
Solid understanding of structural engineering principles, mechanics, and materials
Knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction practices

Job Duties:
Establishes best practices with the fabrication equipment which includes the laser, brake press, lathe, mill, saw, and more
Implements standard work used in manufacturing process in both assembly and welding
Involved with complete design process and execution, of the fixtures, templates, locators, etc. used in manufacturing process in both assembly and welding
Assists with initiative to standardize components used in manufacturing
Reviews and analyzes manufacturing functions, submitting suggestions to improve efficiency, quality, safety and cost
Reviews cost savings or any type of other suggestions submitted by employees pertaining to the manufacturing process; participates in investigation and responding to the suggestions
Acts as a liaison between engineering and manufacturing; coordinates manufacturing abilities with specifications and requests, and product design requirements
Inspects equipment being designed and built utilizing the appropriate measuring device to assure items meet Engineering specifications
Contributes to insourcing projects that may include documenting or reverse engineering items to be made in-house

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our corporate engineering team supporting multiple manufacturing sites. This role will oversee the full lifecycle of equipment and automation projects-from design and vendor coordination through installation, commissioning, and startup.
The Project Engineer will serve as a hands-on technical lead for capital improvements, system upgrades, and process optimizations. This position will collaborate closely with site operations, maintenance, and controls teams to drive successful project execution and ensure alignment with plant needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead capital projects from concept through plant handoff, including budgeting, design reviews, vendor selection, and implementation.
Oversee on-site work during equipment installation, electrical and mechanical contractor activities, and system integration.
Support commissioning tasks such as I/O checkout, equipment testing, and final system validation.
Collaborate with automation teams to integrate PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
Specify and evaluate OEM equipment and hardware for process and packaging lines.
Provide technical guidance to site engineers and maintenance staff.
Ensure alignment with network architecture and automation standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
