WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
· Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a CI poly
· Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA Security
· Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certification or training, or work/military experience
· Intermediate Systems Engineering experience with requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing and integration of IT solutions

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Job Description:
In this role, you'll join our Continuous Operations Release Environment (CORE) team, providing high-quality, cost-effective cloud solutions to our clients. Be part of a dynamic environment where your expertise in API management and cloud operations will drive significant enhancements in the efficiency and effectiveness of our customers' operations. As a Senior API Management Engineer on our team, you will play a pivotal role in the enterprise deployment of an enterprise API gateway, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and advancement of our services.
Key Responsibilities:
•Lead the deployment, configuration, and management of the API gateway solution in an enterprise environment.
•Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of API infrastructure.
•Provide expert-level technical support to customers, resolving complex issues related to API management and cloud infrastructure.
•Collaborate closely with engineering teams to enhance API consumption and integration across various applications.
•Monitor and optimize API performance, identifying and addressing potential scalability and reliability issues.
•Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and best practices for API management and support.
•Drive continuous improvement initiatives in API strategies and cloud operations.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
Education and Experience:
•Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
•5+ years of experience in IT, with a strong emphasis on API management, cloud operations, and customer support.
•Proven experience in deploying and managing Kong Enterprise API gateway or similar platforms.
Required Skills:
•In-depth knowledge of enterprise API gateway solution preferably Kong and its integration in cloud environments.
•Expertise in AWS cloud services and infrastructure management.
•Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, particularly in API and cloud contexts.
•Strong familiarity with Linux distributions (e.g., RedHat, CentOS).
•Proficiency in DevOps practices, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and continuous integration tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Nexus).
•Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead and mentor junior team members.

The likely salary range for this position is $101,566 - $131,584. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

What you will do
Serve as a Senior Engineer within the Power Electronics Department based in our Applied Chiller group in New Freedom, PA! Candidates must be commuting distance, or open to relocation.
Responsible to design, test, and maintain power electronics products and systems for Johnson Controls' chiller applications.
Determine the best techniques, procedures and/or theories as they apply to the development of power electronics products and systems.
Create compliance procedures for the development of electrical/electronic circuitry designs.
Define and interpret design specifications; design electrical/electronic circuitry to meet specified requirements; and analyzes product design requirements and recommend solutions.
Prepare and coordinates the release of documentation to support component design and manufacturing.
Participate in all aspects of preliminary design and systems architecture, and conducts analysis of the cost impacts of proposed modifications, upgrades, and new implementations of application software.
Conduct feasibility studies and systems analysis for new applications or major modifications of existing systems.
Work with other engineers, designers, and technicians on specific work assignments.
Forecast and schedule work activities, and defines processes for repetitive tasks.
Act as the technical lead for troubleshooting field and factory issues on the range of power electronics products and systems on Johnson Controls' chillers.
Travel to visit customers, Johnson Controls' factories, vendors, and/or professional conferences as business needs
