**Responsibilities**
+ Follow established test procedures to conduct laboratory and pilot scale testing
+ Draft test plans, specify, assemble and operate laboratory and bench scale test equipment
+ Generate, capture, analyze, and report defensible technical data
+ Perform modeling to support process design and scale-up
+ Support research for the evaluation of new technologies including recovery of rare earth elements, carbon capture, hydrogen technologies, and chemical processing.

+ Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in an ABET-accredited Chemical Engineering program with at least 18 months of college experience completed
+ Related work experience (paid or unpaid) in the engineering discipline

SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE: The Intern role is an introduction into the world of forensic and consulting engineering. The Intern will experience all facets of forensic engineering consulting including, but not limited to, technical research, report writing, site inspections and test projects. The role will receive coaching and mentorship provided by the Team Leads as well as access to all engineering and core functions of the company.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Apply technical discipline to conduct in-depth technical research concerning pricing, specifications and equipment repair options and replacements.
Contribute to the investigation of an incident including but not limited to collection of evidence, documentation of site and associate equipment and photograph all equipment and areas related to the claim.
Work with the Team Lead to write reports based on investigative findings.
Travel to required location(s) for either site inspection, trial witness requirements, or client meetings.
Setup and run test projects. Collect the requisite data and distill the data into usable information.
Assist consultants with marketing efforts and matter related work on an as needed basis.

The appropriate PPE will be required for these inspections. At times, artifacts from the site inspection will be secured which will involve the lifting, protecting and manipulating items up to 60 lbs.

Position Summary
The Diamond Power Company is a leader in energy and environmental products and services for power and industrial markets worldwide. Our headquarters in Lancaster, Ohio is currently seeking an Intern/Co-op to join our Lancaster Operations team out of the Lancaster, Ohio facility. The internship will provide an educational, hands-on experience to students pursuing careers in engineering under the guidance of the Operations Technologies & DesignEngineering Manager.
Duties
* Designing software using various languages, frameworks, and technologies
* Adding features to existing software packages, typically in C# or VB.NET
* Working to update application documentation
* Helping setup computers and check out systems
* Working with other engineers as required to determine software requirements
* Testing software changes
* Helping to specify and evaluate software to be purchased
* Layout, specify, implement, and test networks for controls products
Preferred Education Experience, Knowledge, and Skills
* Currently enrolled in an accredited two or four-year program, working towards a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related major
* Current GPA of 3.0 or higher, preferred
* Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
* Proficiency in at least one Object Oriented language is preferred

* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Ability to follow instructions and work independently with a sense of urgency and enthusiasm
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn
