* Assist Design Engineers with support activities such as researching specifications, test methods, etc.
* Assist Design Engineers with technical documents such as technical proposals, test reports, failure reports, etc.
* Generate and or review drawing changes with drafters.
* Purchase prototype hardware and manage vendors
* Create and or review drawing release packages, drawing revisions and other design documentation in concurrence with company procedures.
* Assist engineering lab technicians with building and testing prototypes
* Assist engineering lab technicians with entering test data and inspections

Qualifications:
* Candidates must be action oriented and self -starters.
* Must be comfortable occasionally working in a hands-on engineering lab to help technicians set up tests, tear down parts, etc.
* Must be a good communicator and able to interact with other groups outside of engineering.
* Ability to effectively oversee small to medium tasks or projects.
* Candidates should have a basic understanding of how to read drawings, drawing layouts, tolerance stack-ups, and material specifications
* Familiarity with the following is preferred: Machining, Welding, Plating, Metallurgy, Coatings, Heat Treating, Casting, Additive Manufacturing Techniques

Your Opportunity
As a Mechanical Engineer, your role in our professional consulting services team is to work independently on multidisciplinary projects of various complexity as a discipline leader, through all phases of a project lifecycle. You are responsible for leading the design of HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems on municipal water treatment plants, pumping stations, wastewater treatment plants, hydroelectric power plants, and private industrial water applications in different locations across North America. Every project has its own unique challenges, and you are considered a resource for solutions to those challenges.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems for various projects from preliminary design through bid and construction phases.
- Develop basis of design reports (BODR) and technical memorandums for small-to- medium size projects, setting criteria for following design stages.
- Develop design documents including drawings, specifications, and opinion of probable construction costs (OPCC).
- Respond to RFIs, review submittals and shop drawings, and attend construction site visits for design compliance.
- Develop HVAC calculations including building cooling and heating load calculations, air distribution system sizing, and hydronic distribution system sizing.
- Develop Plumbing calculations including domestic water, sanitary waste, and storm water systems sizing.
- Apply design codes and standards based on the project needs.
- Coordinate design with other design disciplines throughout the life of a project.
- Assist with mentoring engineers in training (EIT) to develop and strengthen their skills and technical abilities.
- Travel to job sites in your state of residence and other states (5%)
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- In-depth understanding of HVAC engineering fundamentals such as psychrometric chart, refrigeration cycle and heat transfer.
- Experience in designing HVAC and Plumbing systems. Fire Protection design is a plus.
- Strong familiarity with design codes and standards of practice.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of all phases of project deliverables.
- Ability to lead one or more projects simultaneously.
- Experience with HVAC load calculation software - HAP or Trace.

Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Project Engineers work on a variety of real-world electrical and instrumentation projects in a refinery setting. During your time at MPC, you will develop and utilize project management skills including scope alignment, cost and schedule development, and teamwork through multiple engineering phases. You will also support the area teams. We are committed to developing engineers into professional project managers who successfully manage projects of all sizes.
Reliability Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineers troubleshoot Electrical & Instrumentation issues at the refinery. As a reliability intern, you will help analyze failures of equipment, develop solutions for recurring equipment difficulties, submit Project Request Forms (PRF's) to implement solutions, and understand equipment maintenance strategies. There will be opportunities to use electrical analysis software to solve coordination issues and run Arc Flash studies for the power system, as well as learning and understanding about how our critical Refinery Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) are applied.
Process Control / Technical Service Engineers can work on a wide array of projects in support of the process control systems installed throughout the refinery and products movements areas. The process control systems in the refinery provide real-time control and data acquisition functions in support of operating the refinery process and electrical equipment. Typical college co-op assignments include the following: troubleshooting system power supply problems, control system programming, hardware and software lifecycle replacement projects, installing and troubleshooting communication networks and monitoring control system performance metrics.

Job Description:
The engineer in this role will join a multidisciplinary R&D team dedicated to researching, optimizing, and deploying high-performance machine learning models on target hardware for intelligence, defense, and biomedical applications. This engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing discriminative and generative models for computer vision and signal processing, leveraging low-level software and hardware expertise to accelerate performance across diverse hardware environments, including edge devices, desktop workstations, and multi-GPU clusters.
The successful candidate will contribute at all stages of the model development lifecycle, from ideation to deployment, for tasks such as object detection, anomaly detection, semantic segmentation, forecasting, and synthetic data generation. They will work with other engineers and subject matter experts to conduct exploratory data analysis, data preprocessing, model implementation, and rigorous model evaluation. Emphasis will be placed on optimizing models to meet strict latency, throughput, and power constraints, and in deploying models efficiently to targeted hardware platforms.

Basic Qualifications:
