Primavera CPM scheduling or similar, and CAD knowledge. Ability to work with a fast-paced team in an aggressive construction environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience working on USACE projects. Experience supervising operations teams is a plus. Strong capabilities to multitask, work independently under pressure, and within tight deadlines. Background check and drug testing. Prior heavy civil site project experience such as water control, levee, concrete, and mass excavation experience are a plus. The Manufacturing Engineer II role, evaluates and introduces process and product modifications, standards and improvements through knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes, while increasing product quality, output and cost effectiveness for the corporation. This role is based out of Frankfort, IN and would require this individual to be on site regularly. Role Responsibilities: * Monitors and modifies equipment to ensure safety and efficiency in the production line. * Implements corrective actions. * Reviews and verifies accuracy of existing procedures and bill of materials. * Negotiates final design to ensure manufacturability and product requirements. Conducts testing and evaluation of products and processes. * Conducts studies for process and product improvements. * Develops analyses and testing procedures to anticipate any potential process or product failure. * Conducts studies to improve plan layout, production line efficiency and production line control. * Contributes to product failure mode and effects analyses. * Manages product or process development projects. * Collaborates on technical program objectives and product specifications that meet marketing and manufacturing needs. * Recommends and employs new equipment. * Provides technical support to developers to ensure manufacturability of developed products and processes. Minimum Qualifications: * Associate's degree and 4+ years of experience in engineering (Manufacturing or Mechanical preferred) or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ year of experience in engineering (Manufacturing or mechanical preferred) Preferred Qualifications: * 5+ years prior experience in a manufacturing environment. * Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques * Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks * Working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC's and their programming * The ability to direct, motivate, and provide clear direction in a production work environment. * Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical/electrical and controls systems in an operational environment. * Proven project management skills including delivery of results on time and within budget through dynamic and creative thinking. * Excellent communication and analytical skills and proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization. Job DescriptionDescription: JOB TITLE: Mechanical Design Engineer REPORTS TO: Manager, Mechanical Engineering JOB STATUS: Full Time FLSA STATUS: Exempt The Mechanical Design Engineer will play a critical role in the conceptualization, design, and development of baggage handling systems and components. You will collaborate successfully with mostly engineering stakeholders including project engineers, principal engineers, and other engineering designers and design engineers to complete baggage handling projects successfully. You will focus on safe, high-quality output, on schedule and on budget. Our Mechanical Design Engineer would be responsible in part for modeling the systems (or portions of the systems), based on customer specifications and as-sold information. You would understand the system and provide input when a more efficient design would be better suited. You will help create comprehensive, detailed installation and component level drawing packages per customer specifications and field installation team requirements. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Design custom baggage handling systems using CAD software (2D AutoCAD, 3D Inventor). Develop component level equipment, assembly, weldment, and part level models and detailed drawings for fabrication. Perform engineering calculations, such as horsepower and speeds. Collaborate in a team setting with other engineers, and occasionally with other business units, customers, or vendors. Identify potential issues and provide efficient solutions. Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs), Manifests, and other engineering documentation. Create detailed field installation drawings containing detail for customer approval and field installation ease. Ensure all designs comply with specifications and standards.
