Track project progress, ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, and departmental standards. Enforce compliance with company procedures, design guidelines, and quality standards. Participate in project meetings, including turnover, phase gate reviews, design reviews, and lessons learned sessions. Train, mentor, and onboard new mechanical designers, identifying skill gaps and recommending development initiatives. Manage internal employee relations, resolve conflicts, and promote a positive team culture. Approve department timesheets and manage vacation requests.
