Responsibilities include electrical systems analysis, estimating, quality review, coordination during bidding, field inspections, commissioning, and development of project-specific engineering solutions. Required Skills & Experience:
8+ years of construction and/or engineering experience (preferred)
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, architectural engineering, or related field (required)
Commercial HVAC experience on large projects (required)
PE license (plus)
Healthcare project background (plus)
Strong ability to read plans, perform technical analysis, and work collaboratively
Proficiency with MS Office and construction-related engineering tools
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in and support a strong safety and quality culture.
Perform mechanical, electrical, and field construction tasks of increasing complexity.
Develop budgetary M/E estimates based on schematic and program-level design.
Review system options, conduct systems analysis, and provide value-engineering recommendations.
Develop scopes of work and support coordination during the bidding process.
Assist in bid analysis and subcontractor selection.
Define system sequencing requirements and provide schedule-related input.
Review design documents to identify quality issues; assist with constructability reviews and quality control programs.
Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with specifications and schedules.
Support and eventually lead the submittal and shop-drawing review process.
Develop commissioning plans, pre-functional checklists, testing procedures, and verify functional testing.
Ensure deficiencies are corrected and submit commissioning documentation.

We are a U.S. contractor specializing in mission-critical infrastructure for hyperscale and enterprise data centers. As our projects expand nationwide, we are seeking a skilled Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to support our commissioning team.
Role Overview
You will lead and execute commissioning activities for mechanical systems on large data center projects, ensuring all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and as designed.
Key Responsibilities
Commission mechanical systems: CRAH/CRAC units, chillers, pumps, HVAC systems, and controls
Develop and execute commissioning plans, checklists, tests, and reports
Review design documents, submittals, and O&M materials
Coordinate with project teams, contractors, vendors, and clients
Perform inspections, start-up verification, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
Support IST, SAT, and FAT activities
Maintain accurate commissioning documentation and uphold safety standards
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
3-7+ years in mechanical commissioning, preferably in data centers
Strong HVAC, chilled water, and controls knowledge
Ability to read mechanical drawings and technical documentation
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Willingness to travel nationwide
Preferred Qualifications
Hyperscale data center experience
CxA, CEM, EIT, or PE certification
Understanding of integrated commissioning and electrical interfaces
