Position Overview:
The CMF Designer will play a critical role in elevating BrüMate's product experience by developing and executing material and color strategies that enhance product aesthetics, performance, and sustainability. This role will also own the color sampling process from beginning to end, ensuring seamless execution from initial concept to final color and production sample approval. This role will report to the Industrial Design Lead.

Trend and Market Research:
Stay ahead of design and color trends by conducting in-depth market research, evaluating buying/shopping behaviors, and forecasting fashion and color trends, application techniques, and material innovations relevant to our market.
Through your research and analysis, you will help drive seasonal design decisions, work with external brand collaborators, develop special projects, and more.
Design and Innovation:
Lead the design of new CMF designs, including illustrations, prints, graphics, decals, and more across our product portfolio to ensure brand consistency.
Visualize and implement CMFs accurately on 2D and 3D CAD drawings, ensuring seamless application across all manufacturing processes.
Assist with product renderings for evergreen and specialty CMFs.
Explore forward-thinking design opportunities and market-defining material options to keep BrüMate
undeniably different.
Color Sampling Ownership:
Own the entire color sampling process, from initial design concepts to final production approvals, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to BruMate's CMF standards and timelines.
Partner directly with supply chain and manufacturing teams to evaluate and refine material and color samples, ensuring that final products meet design expectations and BrüMate's quality standards.
Global CMF Strategy Development and Documentation:
Develop and manage comprehensive CMF documents and material libraries.
Create detailed documentation of color and material specifications, ensuring consistent execution from concept to production.
Develop an organized CMF process from concept to creation to ensure cohesion across manufacturers.
Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the global color palette, managing color tools, and communicating color standards throughout the organization and stakeholders.

What You Bring to the Table:
A detailed portfolio submission highlighting exceptional design vision.
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Graphic Design, or a relative field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5 years of experience in a design environment working with colors, palette development, and/or color trends preferably in consumer goods or lifestyle brands.
Strong understanding of material properties, manufacturing processes, and surface finishes. Knowledge of the product design and development process. Strong product acumen with working knowledge of development processes, including design, development, sourcing, and manufacturing.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, and other CMF design and visualization tools.
Proficiency in 3D CAD and rendering tools (such as Keyshot etc.) is highly valued.
