We work with a broad range of residential clients on projects including new home design, renovations and updating existing interiors. We are looking for a Junior Interior Designer who will collaborate with the Senior Designers on all aspects of client projects. You will assist at each stage of the project including conceptual design, presentations, design development, production, fulfillment, and installation. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of design experience with an exceptional design sensibility, a passion to grow and learn, and a strong work ethic. The position will be responsible for updating and adapting existing graphics as well as producing graphics from concept through production. Highly competitive hourly rate, plus a commission program that has no cap on potential earnings. When meeting target goals you can expect to make an average of $2400 per month in commission. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provide knowledge of kitchens, bathrooms, closets, and complementary items such as flooring, hardware or countertops in a friendly customer-oriented environment. * Educate customers on specific product features, comparisons and pricing. * Identify customer needs and preferences in order to create a design that is esthetically pleasing and within the customers specifications. * Create concise work orders and coordinate installations; overseeing client projects to completion. * Work with store manager to set personal sales goals and lead generation. * Keep up to date with knowledge of products in catalog. * Excel in customer service while presenting a friendly, positive attitude. * Fulfill basic store maintenance duties. * Assist in loading or offloading of product (will vary from store to store)
