Typical Responsibilities Include: * Manage direct reports (part-time lab technician(s) and student workers) - Includes daily task assignments, hiring, scheduling, problem solving, and decision making. * Responsible for ordering equipment and supplies (both technical and non-technical). * Receiving shipments and coordinating and inventory control of technical equipment and consumables. This includes blanket purchase orders in conjunction with the Department Chair and/or faculty needs each semester. * Coordinate software purchase orders and renewals with Department Chairs and faculty. * Some work in various labs may require lifting of up to 80 lbs. * Research, specify, and order equipment required by faculty for all BEIT labs (does not include PC's). * Coordinate regularly with Department Chairs and Faculty to determine their needs and continuously improve the BEIT labs and processes. * Manage and execute the division's work order request system. * Support students and their needs by staffing the Support Center and opening and monitoring labs as needed for students.
