The Commissioning Engineer is a deployable member of the Engineering team responsible for system commissioning, acceptance testing, and end-user knowledge transfer. This role ensures that integrated AV, UC, and IT systems are tested, validated, and fully functional prior to project turnover. The Commissioning Engineer servs as an on-site technical leader and works closely with installation, project management, programming, and engineering teams to deliver systems that meet Pixel integration standards and project specifications.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Conduct pre-deployment system testing and validation, in-office, prior to installation.
· Perform on-site commissioning and acceptance testing prior during final system verification.
· Provide direction and technical leadership to installation personnel while on-site to ensure proper system functionality and adherence to company standards.
· Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with client stakeholders and end users following acceptance testing.
· Test and verify control system functionality and collaborate with programmers to debug and optimize performance.
· Make minor control system and/or GUI modifications when necessary to align with project documentation and system performance goals.
· Configure and tune DSP systems.
· Perform network configuration to support AV-over-IP solutions.
· Configure, test, and optimize digital video signal chains.
· Deploy and configure unified communications systems (Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, and Cisco Webex).
· Validate and troubleshoot USB signal extension, connection, and operations.
· Document commissioning and acceptance testing results and provide detailed feedback to engineering and programming teams.

Key Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

Job Purpose
The Design Research Senior Engineer in the CoE Division conducts sensing for NA market and consumer trends, extract emerging technologies, formulate hypothesis and propose research initiatives to provide value toward NA Honda's business direction.
Key Accountabilities
Conduct sensing for NA market and consumer trends, extract emerging technologies, and propose research initiatives.
Continuously summarize and correlate sensing results and conclusions with internal stakeholders.
Propose and carry out advanced research of emerging technologies utilizing Agile methodologies to prove hypothesis and define value with speed.
Independently manage technical project resources while maintaining leading knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories.
Propose new technology research themes for implementation into the Honda technical strategy through existing meeting structure and cadence.
Develops and maintains strong relationships with internal and external research partners, industry experts, consortium members, university staff, and policy leaders to gather expertise and grow capability.
Within defined technical pillar, identify root cause of highly technical and multidisciplinary problems and develop plans, designs, test systems, materials, techniques and processes to achieve objectives.
Gain knowledge and expertise in emerging technologies, document findings, and inform others to grow the overall technical capability in North America.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's of Science in Engineering field or equivalent relevant experience in science/engineering research capacity.
Minimum Experience:
5 or more years with focus on digital chip architectures, benchmarking, open-source IP / ISA (RISC), ARM, familiarity with CPU / GPU / NPU, FPGAs, SoCs (System-on-Chip) and heterogenous integration.
Familiarity with Assembly language.
Other highly desirables: Prior experience with industry standard EDA tools (e.g. - Synopsys / Cadence &c) for IC chip design. Exp in HDLs - e.g. - Verilog / VHDL

Working Conditions

Responsibilities:
Lead design vision and execution for AI-based conversational and multimodal experiences, advocating usability and user-centered design principles.
Develop and promote conversation design best practice standards, reusable interactional patterns, and processes.
Deliver effective design documentation to communicate experience requirements, design principles, best practices, prototypes, and multimodal flows to convey voice forward interactions that leverage AI.
Identify opportunities for usability testing and research efforts by leading and supporting the creation of prototypes, participating in clinic sessions, analyzing, brainstorming, ideating etc.
