Essential Functions
Internet User Experience Designer
* Assists the Sr. UX Designer in the management of website traffic, optimization and search engine optimization.
* Work with agency and appropriate teams to manage online demand programs including paid search campaign, search engine optimization and other digital initiatives to increase qualified leads for market segments.
* Monitor and continually drive improvements with usability, design, content and conversion with the website.
* Assists in the planning and implementation of user interface design, and study/focus groups (product requirements, wireframes, interaction models, scenarios, sketches, schematics and prototypes).
* Assists in performing audits of existing web-based material to ensure Alaska Communications desired branding and image is conveyed and to achieve style and content quality and consistency objectives.
* Builds graphics and textual content for publication in both electronic and print format.
* Performs design back-up duties, and assists with devising and implementing advertising plans as needed by marketing and creative teams.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Internet User Experience Designer
Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, graphic design, or a related design field. Equivalent education, experience and training may be substituted for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis plus three (3) years of progressive work experience in web, digital online or closely related experience.
Sr. Internet User Experience Designer
Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, graphic design, or a related design field. Equivalent education, experience and training may be substituted for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis plus six (6) years of progressive work experience in web, digital online or closely related experience.
Preferred:
Demonstrated knowledge of design esthetics, use of color, interface usability and accessibility, combined with familiarity of Java Script and demonstrated high proficiency in use of HTML and CSS. Demonstrated professional proficiency utilizing digital design software including Adobe CS. Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite, to include: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
