This role supports the design of new tooling, fixtures, and facility equipment along with the improvement of existing designs, collaborating closely with the Global Manufacturing Engineering team, simulation, suppliers, and site specific Manufacturing Engineering teams at various global factories. Precision in calculations such as wall thickness, surface areas, and unit conversions (mm to inch) is important for producing accurate 2D layouts and comprehensive 3D assembly models. Additionally, the role involves data entry and maintenance tasks within the Oracle database system, supporting multi-functional operations across the organization. This position requires excellent skills in communications, process improvement, as well as configuration of CAD Software. You will need to have strong CAD skills and understanding of the SolidWorks & PDM Pro software.
