JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Industrial Mechanical Designer is responsible for leading the mechanical layout design for select projects. Perform analysis, studies, detailed designs, calculations, schedules, inspections on assigned projects. Prepare specifications, including investigating local standards, manufacturers and suppliers. Perform field observations and obtain information on existing conditions on select projects. Meet with owners and design-build contractors to glean functional and program requirements and select/develop simple and elegant mechanical systems to satisfy those requirements. Support the preparation of project capital cost estimates. Lead the development of corporate mechanical drawing standards.
