Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Be empowered to meet the customer where they are and personalize their experience:
* Greet every customer with a helpful and friendly approach, read customer cues, match their needs with an elevated level of service, and meet the customer where they are at.

* Answer questions regarding product and complete customer transactions through either in-store sales or digital orders.

* We own the physical shopping environment therefore the role includes maintaining a neat, clean, and safe environment for our internal and external customers.
* This includes but is not limited to the following: clearing trash from the aisles, cash wrap, and stockroom, returning shoes back to their location according to DSW standards, cleaning the associate breakroom and public restrooms, vacuuming, cleaning mirrors and front walkways along with any other housekeeping items deemed necessary.
* Receive inbound freight, prepare, and place merchandise on the sales floor per DSW standards, complete markdowns, maintain clearance standards, and organize and maintain the stockroom.
Bring the power of shoes to life by leveraging in-store and digital services:
* Complete all functions of the fulfillment process including locating items, inspecting condition of product, packaging and label placement ensuring readiness for pick up/delivery.

The Designer is responsible for seasonal designs, complete tech packs with construction callouts and full body specs, fabric and trim sourcing, buyer cads which includes body fills in Illustrator sketches, sending out prints and graphics, and tracking of development samples. This position supports the Wholesale Apparel business.
The responsibilities described below are considered essential functions of the role. This position is based in our NYC office and requires working on-site five days per week.
Key Responsibilities
* Tech Packs - executing complete TP from garment construction to specs
* Cads - Individual will be responsible for completing given buyer cad requests on a timely manner, from sketches to body fills making sure the grouping is cohesive in color/print
* Sample Development - will be responsible for their own sample development, making sure they will arrive on time and answering factory questions on a daily basis
* Trend researching and Pulling inspiration - individual will brainstorm with design manager and team to search for new body silhouettes and concepts for each season
* Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines with support and resources as needed
* Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Specific Job Skills:
Essential duties include
* Must be detail oriented as the tech packs will be submitted to costing department
* Executing complete tech packs - Pulling/analyzing body measurement and transferring descriptive garment construction onto paper
* Cad work - Having a keen eye for seasonal color, prints, and graphics., putting them into bodies to send to Buyer
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field
* Minimum of 7 years' experience in Fashion Industry
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
* Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $75,000 - $80,000. Ranges are based on various factors such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
