Design Integration Group
The Design Integration Group (DIG) at Vantage is responsible for the stewardship and execution of the data center design through the project lifecyle, from early development through construction and handover to operations, and includes the Design Management, Design Engineering and Regional Product teams. The Design Manager champions design quality, value engineering, risk mitigation, commissioning readiness, and seamless handoff to construction and operations, while upholding hyperscaler customer expectations for uptime, resiliency, speed to delivery, and total cost of ownership (TCO). The Design Manager serves as the central link between New Site Development, Product, Engineering, and Construction teams, driving the design process from early concept through project handover. * Oversee design milestone delivery, reporting progress against defined KPIs including cost per MW, design cycle time, and change volume
* Coordinate regional design feedback loops to improve the next generation of product and design standards
* Manage design consultants, AE firms, specialty vendors, and technical stakeholders to deliver full drawings, specifications, calculations, BIM models, and design basis documentation
* Maintain alignment with hyperscaler design standards, reference architectures, resiliency tiers, redundancy philosophies and security frameworks
* Drive modular design, repeatability, standardization, and prefabrication strategies for speed of deployment
Performance, Cost & Risk Management
* Identify value engineering (VE) opportunities that reduce cost, schedule, and complexity without reducing resilience
* Drive TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) metrics including PUE, WUE, power density optimization and redundancy tradeoffs
* Lead design risk assessments, mitigation planning, and quality control (QA/QC) audits
* Support sequencing, schedule planning, and cost modeling for multi-wave campus builds
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
* Own the development and reporting of design-related metrics and dashboards.
* Lead lessons learned and change management processes to capture insights and strengthen future project predictability
* Partner with data governance and project controls to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and traceability across the portfolio
* Implement and evolve PM tools (e.g., ClickUp) to drive visibility, efficiency, and accountability across teams.
Technology & Innovation
* Promote execution strategies including prefab MEP, skids, busways, medium voltage distribution, microgrid readiness, liquid cooling enablement, and high-density design
* Validate integration for AI/ML clusters, GPU environments, and next-gen power + cooling topologies
* Ensure compliance with building codes, energy standards, safety, sustainability goals, and utility requirements

* Design packages that meet VDC and operational standards-delivered on time, on budget, and in compliance with design governance requirements

Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno, Department of Art, Art History & Design invites applications for a full-time, tenured or tenure track faculty position for an Associate Professor, Director of Graphic Design to begin the fall semester of 2026. We seek an individual with strong experience in Graphic Design in areas of web design, UI/UX, 3D modeling, and animation. The ideal candidate will have an excellent background in teaching, have supervisory experience and a track record leading on design pedagogy. Experience in the latest theory and practice in the field is highly desirable, as is participation in organizations or conferences such as AIGA The Professional Association for Design. The individual will work closely with existing faculty to teach Graphic Design courses that support and connect interdisciplinary approaches, and the varied curriculum taught in the department, while bringing industry experience to the classroom.
Tenure-track faculty members in the department will maintain an active research agenda and have a 2-3 teaching load, with 40% of the time spent will be dedicated to teaching, 40% dedicated to research & creative activities, and 20% to service. The position will oversee equipment maintenance and purchases, the ordering of supplies, and work closely with Graphic Design faculty and adjunct lecturers to ensure clarity and consistency regarding preparation of course materials, timetabling, organizing portfolio review for the Graphic Design BFA, and facilitating access to labs and resources for students. Advising is a component of this role, for current, prospective and transfer students. The Director will work with Graphic Design BFA students on their individual studies and internship courses and help interface with local companies to maintain internship opportunities and to grow our roster of contacts for student employment.
The Department of Art, Art History and Design has approximately 300 majors across undergraduate and graduate programs of which nearly a third are in Graphic Design.
Required Qualifications
A terminal degree (MFA or PhD) with at least one degree in Graphic Design
At least 8 years of teaching experience at the college level beyond graduate teaching assistantships
A substantial portfolio of work made in the Graphic Design field

What We're Looking For
* 6+ years of experience in broadcast, streaming, sports, or entertainment, with a strong, multi-platform portfolio
* Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, Premiere); comfortable experimenting with AI tools (e.g., Firefly, Gemini, Sora)
* Excellent storytelling skills with experience creating short-form promos and trailers
* Solid foundation in motion design, typography, color, and layout across on-air, CTV, web, and social
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects end-to-end in a fast-paced environment
* Hands-on, self-motivated, and thrives under live sports deadlines

Basics Qualifications:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Create structural designs and construction drawings for residential buildings using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software.
Design foundations, framing systems, load-bearing walls, and roof structures.
Perform structural calculations to ensure safety, stability, and code compliance.
Collaborate with architects and contractors to integrate structural elements into residential designs.
Review and revise drawings based on client feedback and field conditions.
Ensure all designs meet local zoning laws, building codes, and permit requirements.
Coordinate with city officials and inspectors during the permitting and construction phases.
Provide technical support during construction, including site visits and inspections.
Maintain organized records of design documents, revisions, and approvals.
Requirements
2+ years of experience in residential structural design.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis software (e.g., RISA, Enercalc).
Strong understanding of wood framing, concrete foundations, and residential construction practices.
Familiarity with IRC (International Residential Code) and local building codes.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with custom home design or high-end residential projects.

**About the Role**
The UI/UX Designer at PSI will own the end-to-end design process, creating user experiences that are intuitive, elegant, and aligned with both user needs and business goals.
